“My family group, 'The Hustlin' Honeys" traveled to Houston from Louisiana, and Kamp was the first thing on our to do list. We had the best time. Our server was very hospitable. The food, drinks, and ambience were excellent! Everyone has agreed that we will Definitely make Kamp one of our go-to spots on our future trips. Kamp Houston is definitely a YES in our book.“

“Stopped by here Wednesday this week and had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and mac n cheese. Food was really good and was quiet filling. Stopped by again today Friday and had the seafood platter blackened with the mashed potatoes and mac n cheese and was really good as well. This is one of my new favorites now when working in the area. This place does get busy during lunch time so please be patient it is worth the wait.“

Oh, and a very fair priced Cotes de Rhone wine. All things French on our 46th anniversary. I should have taken pictures, sorry. We were looking for something French and cuisine we don't prepare at home. BLC did not disappoint. The restaurant has been in business for over 30 years. My only suggestion is to update the interior just a little bit. Keep the Italian feel, maybe darken the ceiling tiles. Don't go contemporary. Just a suggestion. . My wife had the chicken and potatoes in a broth. The 2 bites she allowed me, were succulent, wonderfully flavorful, and definitely something unique to our culinary experiences.We'll be back.Kid-friendliness: I would say noisy kids might degrade the adult atmosphere.“

“I ate here today with a couple of friends. The vibe was nice. Really good music especially for a Thursday. The food was actually better than expected. I got the 2 piece fried chicken and biscuit. Although, they were small, they were worth the price. My friends got the steak and my other friend got the crab cake and linguine and the only thing my friends said was that the baked potato on the side needed to have a little more flavor and the linguine needed a little bit of salt. Otherwise they enjoyed it as well !! The service was good as well, our server checked up on us often. Everyone was friendly.“

Getting sat was quick and although they tried to sit us in front of the stage, there was no problem moving us. Our server Tristin (last name) was great. Personable and checked in pretty often as the place got considerably busier. Apps (crab stuffed mushrooms & prosciutto caprese bites) were okay. Crab in shrooms didn't have much flavor. Now the pizza was pretty good. Marg and garlic chicken for 5 people went over well. As this was the 1st visit for us 4 locals, we'll be back. Warning - parking can suck as they share a lot with 3 other places with the same hours. But they have more directly behind the bldg, behind a fence.“
“Loved everything about it, except the seating. There is only 1 table inside that has seating with your feet on the floor. The rest are freestanding tall tables with bar height stools. For us, it's uncomfortable to sit holding on with our feet. This time we were seated at a booth, which would normally be fine, but the seat is super skinny, hitting mid leg for me. Had to keep myself from sliding off. Still better than the tall tables. I know this is picky, but as I age, it matters. It won't keep me from going back because the food and prices are well worth it.“

“Went there for BBQ night and have been there for steak night. BOTH were fabulous! Tons of food - plenty left over for a second or even third meal. Both were also very tasty! My only complaint would be that the bartenders aren't very friendly. They're not BAD; service is fine, but don't expect a big friendly "Hello!" when you go in.“
“Hotel was location of two multi-day courses that were very well supported by excellent staff and restaurant. The hotel's IHG website had some negative comments about "needing updates", but those reviews were written in 2020 and 2021. The facility is now clearly in the process of making those updates now. My room was clean (with daily housekeeping services) and bathroom was obviously updated, Bar and restaurant got thumbs up from course attendees. Location has convenient access from major highways and has many off-site optons for restaurants within 10 minutes.“
