“The most consistent restaurant in Roanoke. The staff is always professional and continues to provide great service. The wings are phenomenal. Have chose to come here for birthdays, game day, late night dinner, etc. and have never been let down.“
“This food and brewery hall is really kewl. I actually live about 17 miles away but we come here to eat at the various food counters, and the patio is great (when it's not 112° outside). Tons of seating inside, most of the food counters even bring your food to you. We've tried all the food counters except the newest one. The vendors all offer very different stuff. Wing Daddy & The Codfather are at one counter. The guy does fried chicken sandwiches, wings, burgers, fish and chips, fried fish sandwich, so many options, and his fish is never frozen or pre-battered. His is the only fried cod I buy anymore. No where else compares. He buys his fish fresh everyday and he's always offering some new item. Yeschef should really have his own sit down place because his food is so polished, but I'm glad he's here because I can order from him and The Codfather at the same time. lol Chef makes Louisiana food that seriously transports me to New Orleans. His gumbo is the best I've ever had, and his shrimp and grits are insane, truly out of this world. He also has things like truffle fries or truffle mac'n'cheese, po boys, his menu is epic. Azores Craft Sausages & Charcuterie is really special. The first time we went there he was on a soft opening and had no pizza, so we did his hummus appetizer and it was sooo good. He understands how to put flavor into simple dishes like hummus. Hummus is easy to make but hard to get right, and he does it justice. The real star here is his sausage. It's soooo good, and the Calabrese Sausage Pizza is really next level. His pizza sauce is authentically Italian: tomato, olive oil, salt. That's legit, and why he's my new favorite pizza guy. Roki's food counter always smells so good, I love Pho. Sadly, I've never tried her food, I always go straight to The Codfather first, but I love her drinks. I always get either an Italian Cream Soda, Vietnamese Coffee, or Thai Coffee. She's also really nice, love talking to her while she works. Wild Chef, newest food counter. He was closed for a catering event when we went there a couple days ago. He was prepping for his event so we got to chat with him, he mostly does take away meals, like meal prep. He also offers things like turkey salad (instead of chicken salad), flatheads, it all sounded really good. Looking forward to giving him a try next trip! Soulfire Brewing Co. is a really great spot, full bar. It's not a big space, but they have a pretty big covered patio and you can also sit in the food hall. They do karaoke on Fridays and their tap menu is pretty good, lot of local brews. The staff is always really nice.“
“On an impromptu date night my wife and I decided to try Shoal Creek Tavern after reading the fantastic reviews. It was our first time at Shoal Creek and the restaurant and Erik did not disappoint. The cocktails were fun and unique. The house salad and dressing was delicious. Our entrees were both terrific and fun. There was even room for dessert which topped off the meal. Thank you Erik for the terrific hospitality and suggestions. We will be back soon.“
“I ate there for a team building event with my coworkers. The location was not crowded upon arrival. Our party was seated fairly quickly. We placed our drink orders shortly after we were seated. There were a lot of menu options. We ordered a variety of appetizers, drinks, and food. The food portions were a very good size. We dined sufficiently and everyone enjoyed their food. We were full and did not have any room to eat desserts. I would eat at the location again.“
“Make sure you request Raedo as your server. He gave the best recommendations, answered all my questions and went above and beyond to take care of the table. Extremely friendly and personable; this was an overall great experience. The food here is really good as well!Parking: Shopping area parking“
“This restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone who lives west of I-35. My daughter and I both had the Filet Mignon and my husband had the Fish and Chips. Our appetizer was the tempura sampler and the caprese salad. Both excellent choices. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Can't wait for the weather to get cooler so we can enjoy the amazing view on the patio. The sunset was stunning. Jeff was our server and he gets HIGH scores from us! Bravo!! We will be back ❤️“
“My friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon to watch a ? game. We had $2.50 draft beers and fresh cut fries which were great. We had some well drinks also that were $3.25. The staff were very friendly and we had a great time. It’s a great little local bar with food and reasonable priced beer and cocktails. Worth a visit.“
“Our waiter was new at waiting tables, he worked as a cook and changed positions. Anyway he(Danny) was so fantastic! Great service, great food and the Island martini was fabulous!Had Baby back ribs and steak! Wowww so good. Excellent place, and waiter was great!“
“I wanted to try their burgers after reading positive reviews. I've tried both the Jalapeño as well as the Serrano Burger and both were amazing. I'm not even a big fries person unless they're really good. I couldn't stop eating them either. It might be pricier than your avg burger, but it's the best one I've ever had!“
“Decent little pool hall. Lots of TV's. Good chill atmosphere. Tables are quarters only, which is usually cheaper, but know this before you go in. They have a change machine on site. Luckily I had a dollar bill and some loose change in the vehicle.“
“Megan and Megan are always killing it. It's Opening day tonight, and they're doing such an amazing job. So friendly and on top of things.Parking: If you can't park in the front, circle around to the back. There's usually room.“
“Place is fun and friendly from the staff to the patrons! Good prices too! There's a kitchen personally hav not had any food here. Plenty of it near by though. There is seating inside and outside heaters and a fire pit with live music at times! Chek it out!“
“Not going to lie to you, the kitchen is not good. The burgers are decent. Anything that's fried is inconsistent and most time comes out undercooked. The most reliable best item on the menu in my opinion is the grilled chicken salad. The bartenders and drinks are great and reasonably priced though. I don't go there to eat. I go there for the camaraderie and for bar trivia. The atmosphere is very laid back and chill. Always a fun crowd. I think in the 10 or so years I've gone there I've seen one or two altercations.“
“Maddy was a fantastic server. Always asking if we needed anything. Always checking on us. Not making us feel like a burden when we had a big order (large group of friends). Very professional and caring of the customers. 10/10 would eat/drink here again. 100/10 if Maddy is my “
“Truly a local gem! The service is amazing, the food is delicious, the drink specials are unreal and the patrons feel like family! This place really makes you feel like home. The love and respect they have for our veterans and active military is unlike anything I've ever experienced in a small business. They have billiards, darts, corn-hole, and music trivia (Wednesday nights)! Be sure to visit and tell them ChipNDale sent ya!“
“As a person with a disability if you want go to place where ownership and patrons are kind and also make you feel included when other places don’t. Come too the Local the food/drinks/service are inpectable. The owner Davis is a family man with an infectous welcoming smile and the restaurant/bar is artistic and colorful Go check it out!!!“
“It was our first time in...Everything looked so good, so here's what we tried:Boudin BallsCrawfish ÉtoufféeGumboTruffle MacTruffle FriesGritsBourbon Bread PuddingEverything was incredible! We kept talking about how amazing all of the food was.Chef came over to the table, we had great conversation about the food and the history of the restaurant. Fantastic guy!DO NO SLEEP ON THIS PLACE.“
“We went on a Friday evening. The restaurant was full. We didn't have to wait long for a seatThe waitress was prompt. She took our orders and brought our food out quicklyOur burgers and chicken wrap were delicious. The portions were large. The restaurant was loud and there were several sports on the tvs throughout the place. We expected it to be loud and filled with action. So this wasn't an unusual or unexpected experience.Overall, a good experience and we will return.Parking: Parking was tight. But the restaurant shares space with other places. It was clean and well litWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of wheelchair accessible parking. The restaurant itself didn't appear to be easily traversed by a chair.“
“My husband had lunch there a few weeks ago with a friend and he really liked it so he insisted that we go as a family today. He was right! We all loved our food, it was really good and so fresh. I feel bad for not having asked our waiter for his name because he gave us excellent service! We will come back for sure, next time we try the margaritas!“
“The restaurant was close due to some technical issues. I was so upset, I was having a really bad day. I just started crying. But the staff was so nice, they let me in and served me. They made me feel like I as part of the family. The beer was good and the food was good. I am actually going back tomorrow. They made my day. Thank you.“
“This place is a fun small bar, always welcoming to everyone. We went here for the St.Patricks Day event, but unfortunately there were hardly any tables or chairs, they were only serving food from the food trucks outside and our only choice was pizza because barbeque sold out by 2 pm. The large tent was nice, but yall need more chairs.“
“Very nice and clean restaurant with large patio and fantastic service. I forgot the lady's name but she was wonderful. We ordered the pick three appetizer with 24 karat and BBQ boneless wings, and deep fried pickles. All of it was very tasty. We enjoyed our time and can't wait to come back.“
“Stopped in FnG Eats today for a solo lunch. It was exactly what I needed!I ordered the Tito's Blood Orange Chili Martini and the FM Salad. The martini has a weird taste; I should have ordered regular vodka instead. The salad was on point! You can add chicken or salmon but this time I didn't do either because I didn't want leave a morsel behind.Be sure to try it...you'll love it!“
“Almost same menu as Reno Red's. I miss their regular chicken fried steak. They have a chicken fried ribeye, but it's not as good. The Banderas are still great, but now only served on a bed of fried onion strings instead of mixed with fried jalapeños. (Texas Toothpicks)“
