A Texas version of the corner diner Pepes is the place for dependable good food with no frills. This "ain't" the waitresses first rodeo--they know their jobs and take care of you--friendly and efficiently.Hamburger is not your fast food burger, it's the real deal, tastes like Dad's @ a picnic IMHO.TexMex as authentic as it comes. Passing through a city named San Angelo in Texas, if you were to stop at a diner called Pepe’s you would expect to find Really Good chips and salsa.The salsa served was 1 step below mediocre chips were unremarkable. Maybe expecting great salsa in the middle of February was unrealistic.The rest of the food was very good. Waitstaff is great.I’ll come back in August to try the salsa again.
