My first Grimaldi’s experience was in DFW a few years ago. It was a good experience. The location in San Antonio was ok. Not bad and not great. I will say, the hostess and bar tender (3/10/24 around 4pm) were very kind, approachable, and helpful. The Extra Pepperoni and Hot Honey pizza barely had any hot honey on it. That was a major disappointment.
Grimaldi's is my favorite pizza place, and The Don is my favorite pizza. It has pepperoni and meatballs and a crust so good I'd eat it by itself, maybe with a side of pesto sauce which adds a great flavor. Their small Caesars salad is enough to share but sometimes I'll finish one alone. Add a canoli for dessert to complete a great meal. Nice selection of beer and wine.
