La Barca De Jalisco Reviews
I had an amazing experience with La Baraca de Jalisco! I called at 6:00am to place a very last minute order of 150 tacos, and they were awesome enough to make it happen without hesitation.
When I arrived at 7:30am, the restaurant was spotless and well organized. The front desk staff member who helped me was friendly, professional, and made the pickup process smooth and easy. Every single taco we ordered was absolutely delicious!

excellent food....beef enchiladas are the best...any breakfast on the menu is good.....house made tortillas are very good.
Everything was delicious. Friendly service. Building is a little old but do your self a favor and walk in the door and order some food. You won’t be disappointed.

La Barca De Jalisco is a local gem that has captured the hearts of many. The restaurant is known for its delectable shrimp quesadillas, featuring larger chunks of shrimp and a delightful combination of melty Oaxaca cheese, fresh avocado, and sour cream, all wrapped in a crisp flour tortilla. The beef enchiladas, dusted with cheese and moistened with carne guisada gravy, are also a crowd-pleaser. The chicken "puffies" have been praised for their artful presentation and exceptional taste. Breakfast tacos are fantastic, with spicy and delicious salsa.
The restaurant's atmosphere is one of warmth and friendliness, where no one is a stranger and everyone is glad to have you there. The staff are described as honest and welcoming, adding to the neighborhood feel of the establishment. Customers also appreciate the homemade tortillas, which are fantastic, nice, fluffy, and soft, and the freshness of the ingredients used in the dishes. The seating area is small, but the atmosphere is comfortable.
Located near the San Juan mission, La Barca De Jalisco is a go-to spot for those seeking an authentic Mexican dining experience. Puffy tacos are a standout menu item, and tacos are big. The cabrito was like pulled pork meat drowned in red chillie sauce, taking away from the natural cabrito flavor. Overall, this restaurant is a local treasure, loved by both regulars and newcomers alike. It is very affordable and worth going back to.
