Tim The Girl Catering

We all know great food is one of the focal points of a wonderful wedding. Tim The Girl is masterful at preparing and delivering on that point! The food is exceptional, the service is impeccable, and the presentation is top notch. If you are looking for first class catering you need to include Tim The Girl on your list. One of the best wedding meals we have ever had!!

I had the unfortunate experience of talking to the owner, Tim.

BACKSTORY: in the Fall of 2023, I spoke with her then employee Sam Perez. At that time I thought I could pull off a wedding at a certain price point. I worked with Sam a gave a her price limit per person. She was polite and gracious the menu was uninspiring. Ultimately, our wedding date was pushed back so I did not follow up with Sam.

FAST FORWARD to this Spring 2024: I have a better understanding of the wedding budget and how much we are going to spend on catering. I’m a huge foodie!! I told my fiancé food and music is all that matters. I circle back to Tim the girl and the other caterers.

Now, Sam is no longer working there and my interaction is with Tim. Via email exchange Tim was curt. At one point she writes “I’m confused”. We had not verbally discussed price point, she’s going off what Sam and I had discussed. I had since increased my catering budget significantly. So I suggested we talk on the phone.

THE DISTURBING PHONE CALL: After introductions, Tim said “I’M GONNA TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, WE DON’T DO CHEAP! IF YOU ARE DOING CHEAP, you should consider Heavenly Gourmet or Black Tie Affairs. We are more along the lines of the Rosemary’s Catering Group WE DON’t DO CHEAP.” Then she spoke poorly about the venue I had booked as well.

After getting off the call with her, I was shell shocked. I regret not hanging up on her.

So if you are planning a budget friendly wedding AVOID THIS PERSON, she will speak down to you and be all out rude.

No future bride needs that negative energy planning a wedding.

Tim and her team were delightful to work with the whole way through our wedding planning and the day of. My husband I were hoping to find a caterer that would help us make our dinner feel more like something you'd find at a restaurant and less like...a wedding dinner. Scott hosted us for a lovely tasting and he helped us settle on a menu that felt fresh, clean, and festive. Nothing heavy and lots of fresh ingredients. They were happy to help us serve a couple of special cocktails and some of our favorites beers, as well. The day itself was beautiful, fun, and delicious thanks to their hardworking and professionalism. Would highly recommend!

I did not hire here to do any catering, but me and my daughter attended to a Charcuterie Board Class she hosted at the Ivy Hall, and let me tell you….. It was so much fun!!The price was reasonable, and included 2 glasses of wine, and a small charcuterie board you will create there with all the amazing ingredients they provided.We got amazing people in our table and we got to learn about white carrots and why now they are orange, we learned about cheeses, also we learn the basics of a charcuterie board, from color combinations to what goes best with what.It was a very enjoyable time, they make it fun and easy, I would love to attend to more of their classes. The only problem I found here was the parking, it was a very small parking lot, we managed, but I wished it was biggerCheck the pictures we took there!

We booked Tim the Girl and Ivy Hall for our October 2022 wedding. When I first looked through photos of Tim the Girl catering, the plethora of colors and textures in the food really stood out. It was right in line with our vision for the wedding. The menu that Tim the Girl came up with was delicious in both presentation and flavors! The best part is that Tim the Girl customize the menu to your liking. They were very flexible with changing things on the menu and using seasonal foods. Ashley was like a dictionary of food dishes – we would note an ingredient we like and she would start spewing out dishes faster than we could comprehend :D They are all indeed foodies. Our guests loved the manchego cheese with chorizo appetizers, as well as the roasted butternut squash with goat cheese. The bread station was gorgeous! I wish I could have taken it home – whole grain breads paired with different butters and salts and spices. The chicken was juicy and tender and the potatoes perfectly cooked. Our guests loved the food!

3rd time to use Tim & her crew….all for events > 250. Most recent was 2 weeks ago and again they nailed it!! Exceptional service and wonderful, creative food. They arranged a tasting for our group to make selections that was fun and efficient. Day of event and even leading up to it, we’ll-organized and always pay attention to all the details.Our go-to for large-party catering needs in SA & S. Texas!!!

Ashley and Chef Javier did an outstanding job. From initial visit, to set up, to the actual dinner, Ashley gave us the confidence that it would be a fantastic meal. It could not have gone better!

We used Tim The Girl Catering for our launch event and they were awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even if it didn't pertain to them! Staff was great! Food was great! Def recommend, especially because they are locally owned/operated and treat you like family! Thank you TTGC!!!

We used Tim the Girl Catering for our wedding reception and had our rehearsal dinner at Ivy Hall. They knocked both events out of the park! Their staff are hardworking and kind, provided excellent service at both events. The rehearsal dinner was on a lovely night, and was such a fun, laid-back evening of margaritas and Mexican fusion dishes for our out-of-town guests. During our tasting, they were very receptive to our comments and requests. My husband has the gene where cilantro tastes like soap to him, so they were very conscientious of offering other options instead of chimichurri sauce, putting cilantro on the side, etc.I'm hoping I don't have to get married again, but if I got the chance to use Tim the Girl/Ivy Hall for an event again, I totally would!

Tim the Girl catered my wedding this spring. Not only was the food fabulous and beautiful, the service was impeccable! They were prompt, incredibly professional, and even packed up some Mac and cheese for a late night snack for the bridal party!We did a selection of grab and go items, and they were delicious! The slider station was a HUGE hit. Multiple guests told me the pulled pork was phenomenal, which is high praise in Texas. We also had assorted bruschetta, which were picturesque and delicious as well. They had no issues accommodating Celiac guests, offering a full selection for them by preventing cross-contamination, allowing my guests to feel at ease despite severe restrictions.I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this crew. Thank y’all for helping to make my wedding such an unforgettable experience!

We looked at multiple companies to cater our wedding but when we came across Tim the Girl we were immediately drawn to the creative dishes they offered and the idea they could create a menu for us specifically! We were not disappointed! With us planning our wedding from a different state and country at times, Ashley and Tim did a great job working with us and responding to our inquiries in a timely manner. They also worked with my sister and wedding coordinator when we weren't there to make sure everything day-of went smoothly. Our menu was so uniquely us from the hors d'oeuvres to the dinner and the late night tacos! Our guests love the food and it just elevated the evening completely.

We had arranged to have Tim the Girl cater our daughter's wedding, but unfortunately it got derailed due to Covid. They were wonderful in that they allowed us to reschedule once things opened up. Instead of the wedding, we decided to do a family reunion the next year, but again Covid interfered and people did not want to travel. Tim the Girl was kind enough to let us reschedule for a third time. Finally, the reunion took place last Saturday with our original menu. Since it was a more intimate guest list we had the party at our home in a more casual ad l setting. Ashley came out and planned the set up. Everything was wonderful. Kenny and Lorraine were our servers and they took care of everything. They were also so friendly and we were able to just enjoy the family. The food was amazing and we had enough left to feed family the next day. Our family had an amazing time and really enjoyed interacting with Kenny and Lorraine.

We loved having our wedding at Ivy Hall! From our initial emails with Tim and Scott through the planning process and the actual event, everyone (particularly Scott -- give that man a raise!) was so helpful. We chose Ivy Hall partially because we loved the idea of a beautiful outdoor venue, and partially for Tim's food, and neither disappointed. The space is super flexible, so you can pretty much tailor it to your needs. For example we had everything outside and used the entire back space, including the gravel area that is sometimes a parking lot. The catering is also incredibly flexible. Tim can pretty much do whatever you want, and we loved working with her on our dream menu! All our vendors (DJ, photographers, florist, cake, coordinator, etc.) said Scott was easy to work with and the venue was simple to set up and get in and out of, so that's great that it was perfect not only for us, but also for others involved. We really cannot say enough great things about Scott and how communicative and helpful he was! If you want a beautiful venue with amazing food and a very helpful and responsive operations manager, Ivy Hall is the spot!
