“I'll start off with saying that they have some great brisket and probably the best turkey I have tried in the RGV. They are a little expensive at $32/lb for the brisket, so it's probably going to be a rare treat to make the trip here from Edinburg. It's definitely good though. The bark is tasty and it's not overly smokey, with the fatty pieces just melting in your mouth. Everything is served with fixings of your choice and white potato bread. The green beans were so good, that they were a huge surprise! Definitely looking forward to coming back to try the chicken fried brisket!!The service was friendly and attentive. They quickly let me know that their kitchen was closed and what meats were still available before I started craving anything not available.I did have a small issue with the final bill when I noticed I was charged incorrectly for brisket. The owner or manager (George) was very communicative with me and explained it was done in error and offered to give me a refund for the mistake which I declined. Errors happen.FYI, this business now charges a 4% fee on your total if you use a credit card.“
