“The Monomyth in Lubbock Texas: Nowadays I find myself in the Yee-Haw part of the state. That means that the coffee can double as paint thinner, and the coffee shops are designed off of prisons. Recently however, I had the chance to see an Don Giovanni in Lubbock Texas, where the person who played Don Octavio stole the show. He did nothing to help, and sang beautifully. Remarkable. While in Lubbock for my crossover episode with all the old Wesley +Laureen, we went to the Monomyth, a Coffee Shop. No only was the shop not a prison, but the coffee didn't come with its own chemical code. While that is all well and good, it invites something different to fill the gap, hipsters, and hipsters they were. Styled beards, flannel shirts, flared mustaches, light leather boots, jeans, and man buns. I felt as if I was behind enemy lines and it was difficult to get my bearings, so that I could order. I'm not fluent in hipster, but I can hold a conversion, so I was confident in my ability to order. "Should I do drip or bar" "We have a single origin Honduras on Bar" which caused Don Octavio's eyes to shoot out lasers and him to rip off his shirt revealing the Honduran Flag tatted on his chest. At least that's how I imagine he felt. "Sounds good, I'll have a latte" He corrected me, "You'll have a cap" And a cappuccino I had, and he was right it is what I wanted. I just didn't know. A near perfect barista experience where they can size me up and correct my order based on what they know they have and what they think I want and be correct about it. As for the drink itself, the milk was over steamed with visible bubbles, and while their was foam art it would have benefited from a slower initial pour. However, the espresso did a hard carry. The sweetness melded with the sour to make a thoroughly enjoyable drink. If I were to go again I would get just the espresso, the milk only took away from what I can surmise to be the unyielding power of Honduras.“

“I love my Brewed Awakening. It’s the perfect start to every morning. The staff are always so friendly and really make a point to try and remember you so you don’t feel like just another number walking through the door. We had a company holiday party last year and the space was perfect for us. I highly recommend dropping by for a morning or afternoon pick me up.“

“I had an amazing customer service experience this morning. I wish I would have asked her name. She was blonde with glasses and told me a captain Hook joke. She had a fantastic attitude that brightened my day. This is the best service I’ve ever had at Starbucks and probably any location in my life. She suggested her favorite refresher which is amazing and I got an egg white and spinach omelette wrap, and it was hot and fresh and it was so good. She suggested a side of Sriracha and everything just hit the spot. Thank you“

“Came in on a very busy morning, but was greated right away with many good mornings by every staff. They were so friendly not just to me but everyone that came in. I was very impressed that they even knew some of the customers by name as they walked in. For the service alone I will definitely be back.“

“Suggestion: Today I ordered an unheated lemon cake, paid and went to wait for my order, after 8 minutes I realized that the staff was heating up all the orders before mine, meaning I had to wait over 30 minutes for a cold order that just needs to be taken out of the drawer and put in a bag, I think they could be much more efficient if they delivered the orders that don't need to be heated immediately instead of putting them in a line of orders where most require heating. It's not always first come, first served, sometimes the most complicated meals are delivered last and the easiest ones first.“

We did our gender reveal there a while back and I messaged corporate to tell them how great the crew was how much we appreciated them making this moment so special for us. I got a response back congratulating us and asking for our address so they could send us something. That something turned out to be two custom baby onsies and bib along with a handwritten note and some stickers. They are such a thoughtful company that cares about their employees and customers. If you don't already support them, please consider it because they deserve it!“

“It's pretty much exactly what you would expect. Everything tastes great as far as drinks go, the prices are a bit high so I do not go every day(but would if I could).The food however is hot and miss, depending on the day and who is there I suppose.“

“Ordered on the app to go. Order was ready when we got there and correct. Only ding is this store is out of some basics, like Splenda and when you order on the app there is no easy way to specify how much cream or half and half you want. It defaults to a "splash" whatever that is!“

We were in town for one night but hit this Starbucks twice! Friendly, courteous staff when ordering and pick up at window. Great location, short wait, and convenient. “Judy and I have visited this restaurant three times in the last two months and each visit was outstanding!!! Service, waitress and waiter was excellent leaving nothing to be desired! Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Music was just right and the volume was pleasant, not too loud. The manager came and visited on two visits and was attentive and pleasant. Will keep this restaurant on our GPS and visit often.“
