“The Monomyth in Lubbock Texas: Nowadays I find myself in the Yee-Haw part of the state. That means that the coffee can double as paint thinner, and the coffee shops are designed off of prisons. Recently however, I had the chance to see an Don Giovanni in Lubbock Texas, where the person who played Don Octavio stole the show. He did nothing to help, and sang beautifully. Remarkable. While in Lubbock for my crossover episode with all the old Wesley +Laureen, we went to the Monomyth, a Coffee Shop. No only was the shop not a prison, but the coffee didn't come with its own chemical code. While that is all well and good, it invites something different to fill the gap, hipsters, and hipsters they were. Styled beards, flannel shirts, flared mustaches, light leather boots, jeans, and man buns. I felt as if I was behind enemy lines and it was difficult to get my bearings, so that I could order. I'm not fluent in hipster, but I can hold a conversion, so I was confident in my ability to order. "Should I do drip or bar" "We have a single origin Honduras on Bar" which caused Don Octavio's eyes to shoot out lasers and him to rip off his shirt revealing the Honduran Flag tatted on his chest. At least that's how I imagine he felt. "Sounds good, I'll have a latte" He corrected me, "You'll have a cap" And a cappuccino I had, and he was right it is what I wanted. I just didn't know. A near perfect barista experience where they can size me up and correct my order based on what they know they have and what they think I want and be correct about it. As for the drink itself, the milk was over steamed with visible bubbles, and while their was foam art it would have benefited from a slower initial pour. However, the espresso did a hard carry. The sweetness melded with the sour to make a thoroughly enjoyable drink. If I were to go again I would get just the espresso, the milk only took away from what I can surmise to be the unyielding power of Honduras.“

The staff are always so friendly and really make a point to try and remember you so you don’t feel like just another number walking through the door. “For Fathers Day of 2020 my daughter gifted me a subscription to the Texas Coffee Club, where once a month I receive a bag of fresh roasted goodness from a TX roaster. Last month (May) I got a bag of Gold Stripe CR/Spro Bot whole bean coffee. When I opened the box and the aroma hit me before opening the bag I knew it was gonna be good. “Please reduce the volume of the music. Since its opening last year, the early morning and late-night loud music has been difficult for the neghborhood. While it's certainly better than during the initial promotional month last year, it can still be quite loud, particularly louder on weekends, starting as early as 7 AM. Please keep in mind that this particular location is right next to residential homes, and the noise has been challenging for the residents. It has significantly affected the quality of life in my household and my neighbors. Many people I have talked to seem appreciate your products and service over the past year, but I kindly ask that you consider being a good neighbor by keeping the noise level down. My intention is not to hurt your review, not lowering my rating, but I wanted to communicate this concern.“

“Excellent coffee spot! ? I ordered the Christmas Cookie latte and it’s the best (dessert) coffee I’ve ever had! Perfectly executed! The ambience is so modern and happy! The staff are all upbeat and smiling. Kenzie took my order and went above and beyond explaining all the customizations that Summer Moon had to offer and let me sample what I was unsure about. 10/10 recommend!!“

“I had an amazing customer service experience this morning. I wish I would have asked her name. She was blonde with glasses and told me a captain Hook joke. She had a fantastic attitude that brightened my day. This is the best service I’ve ever had at Starbucks and probably any location in my life. She suggested her favorite refresher which is amazing and I got an egg white and spinach omelette wrap, and it was hot and fresh and it was so good. She suggested a side of Sriracha and everything just hit the spot. Thank you“

“Dutch Bros has been my favorite coffee shop since they opened in our area. When one opened off the Marsha Sharp freeway I was so excited because it is near my job. However this location is the only one that can never ever get my drink right and it saddens me. I always ask for an extra scoop of chocolate in my drink very simple but somehow they can never get it right at this location. I figured I'd try it again today I mean third time is usually the charm but nope just can't get it the way I like it at this location. I was even very specific, an extra scoop of chocolate mixed in with the chocolate base hot cocoa just to give it a little extra chocolatey taste. There is a Dutch Bros near my house even though it's a little bit out of my way but they always get my drink and right. As a matter of fact every other Dutch Bros that I have stopped by always gets my drink right excluding this one. I would rather go out of my way and get a drink that I am going to enjoy then to get a drink and then I am not going to enjoy it and that I do not even finish..“

“It's coffee time, so we ordered from the house specials menu! My daughter ordered an iced Loop 289, which comes with vanilla breve and caramel drizzle. She requested an extra shot of expresso and extra caramel. My daughter has long days at school and clinicals, so she needs that boost throughout the day. She seems to really love this particular coffee, and it's becoming one of her favorites. ❤️
Today, I decided to order an iced coffee called Interstate Day Dream. It comes with hazelnut, mocha latte, a little foam, and topped with little pieces of candy. This coffee has great flavor and great taste, so it's a fantastic combination!

Parking: They have a drive-thru. It's located at a shopping center but there's plenty of parking.“

We did our gender reveal there a while back and I messaged corporate to tell them how great the crew was how much we appreciated them making this moment so special for us. That something turned out to be two custom baby onsies and bib along with a handwritten note and some stickers. They are such a thoughtful company that cares about their employees and customers. “Judy and I have visited this restaurant three times in the last two months and each visit was outstanding!!! Service, waitress and waiter was excellent leaving nothing to be desired! Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Music was just right and the volume was pleasant, not too loud. The manager came and visited on two visits and was attentive and pleasant. Will keep this restaurant on our GPS and visit often.“
