Jimenez Tortilleria and Taqueria was deemed the #1 place in Lubbuck for breakfast tacos by Yelp, so we had to try it.1. Quality of food - of the 5 different types of burritos that we purchased, 4 of the 5 hit the spot. The fifth type was not included in our order. They gave us the wrong burritos. The barbacoa burrito was a 10. The carne guisada taco was outstanding. However, they forgot the cheese. The Bean and Chorizo was great. Real Mexican Chorizo. Nice and spicy. The potato and egg was real good. Then came the wrong part of the order. I was given a burrito with egg and onions. Not good.2. Service - Had our order been correct, a simple 10 would have been given. Overall, the service was great. Things happen.3. Cost -- For today's times, prices were good. “Stopped in on a whim today, and the owner was so friendly! We spoke for a few minutes after I picked out some cookies to try. She was lovely! I split the chocolate chip cookie with my husband when I got home, and it was so good! I look forward to trying the other cookies I picked up and doing business with her in the future!“
“First off, I want to take the time to admire the environment.. It’s super cute and Little but there is still enough space to sit down and eat. The customer service is honestly top-notch and you can really tell that these people love their jobs and care about what they’re doing. I originally just came in to get some starter since I have failed about 5 million times to make my own, and I saw how the fresh bread looked and got to see the employees making everything from scratch (which I really enjoyed) and why not just grab a sandwich from there for my lunch. The sandwich was HUGE! I can split off the sandwich and eat some later or share with a friend and I love that. Plus, the quality of everything on the sandwich was absolutely amazing. It’s safe to say that that was probably the best sandwich I’ve had in my life. As for the starter .. can you say high-quality? I just fed her and she is so active 1000% I’ll be back“

“After seeing all the bad reviews I had to give a tut to the Cakery Lubbock for the wonderful cake they made for my son. I called about a week in advance thinking they may not have enough time to make an allergen-free cake for my son. I was so happy when they said it would be no problem. Gave my details and made the pickup for a day ahead in case any issues happen. Mind you this is the only bakery I could find that would make an egg/nut-free cake for my son's birthday party. I went to Market Place, HEB, and Walmart, no one had a clue how to make an egg-free cake. I looked online and found the Cakery in Lubbock. She did tell me she would need two weeks out for a specialty cake when I tried to order for another occasion. I needed the cake the next day. However, my wife decided to throw a birthday party for my son and we had to make invitations, so I was in luck and they did it within a week. Cannot be more happy with the cake. When I showed up the cake was not ready, she explained that the cake is too wet, we had major rain overnight and humidity was very high. So I understood. I came back about an hour later, she asked for thirty minutes and I was early anyway, so I got some last-minute shopping done. Now the important part, the cake was so moist. Even after keeping it overnight in the refrigerator. OMG, the best vegan cake I have ever eaten. Everyone at the party finished their slices which is unusual for a birthday cake in my experience. Usually way too sweet. The cake was perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. Even after it sat out for hours we brought what little was left over. It was still moist the next day. My new favorite cake place. I don't care if you like the competition. I will pay for quality and not sugar. Just have to give it to them for an awesome cake that my son loved.
