What a delight! Took my friend to Sugarbakers for lunch! She had the Tuna Salad Stuffed Avocado. I had the small Southwest Chicken Salad. We ate every bite but didn't lick our plates. It was tempting to do that but we resisted. The deserts looked scrumptious but we were too full. We should have gotten something for later. Next trip!!! And there will be a next trip!
Oh my GOODNESS!! SugarBakers is out of this WORLD delicious!! My 82 year old daddy was craving a banana cream pie( has always been his fav) His mama used to make it for him ever since he was young growing up in Mississippi. SugarBakers made him THE VERY BEST Banana cream pie just like his mama used to make. It was so heavy w bananas and the “meringue”/cream on top was so thick and wonderful and scrumptious!! This place reminded me of “Must be Heaven” in Brenham but it did not live up to the hype. On the good news front the workers were not as rude as some other reviewers mentioned. We had the banana split pie, key lime pie, and chocolate cake. They were average at best, definitely not worth going out of our way for. When in a small town like Lubbock you just expect places like this to be “country good.” This place misses the mark…
