Great relaxing atmosphere.
Coolest tree in Texas. Best people & best music.
While passing through Fredericksburg, we decided to stop by Albert Ice House, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The drive there was beautiful, especially with the sunset lighting up the Texas Hill Country.

Albert Ice House is a historic Texas dancehall with a beautiful setting under old oak trees. Guests can enjoy live music, a large dance floor, and a bar in the dancehall area. The venue offers free live music on the patio when the weather is nice, with the big oak tree providing great shade. Visitors often spend relaxing afternoons there, enjoying cold drinks and casual snacks while having joyful conversations. The friendly bartenders add to the welcoming atmosphere. The parking lot has been improved and is now pretty nice, making it easier to visit. Although the food from Rex’s Creole Kitchen has received poor reviews, the bar itself is highly recommended for its good drinks and great vibe. Overall, Albert Ice House offers a true Texas experience with good music, cold beverages, and friendly people, making it a fun spot to hang out.
