“I chose the buffet. My server was awesome. Seemed like she was doing 2 jobs bar tending and serving me. Hopefully that's her choice because they looked over staffed with many people standing around chatting not working.
I love that the tvs are on the cooking shows I just wish subtitles were in English.
They baked oysters were so tuff I couldn't finish 2 out of 4. The fire ball roll had 0 spice. They should change the name.
The menu is deceptive. Lobster appetizer has no lobster its all crayfish and snow crab is imitation.
It should be explained because if someone is allergic to crawfish and they ordered lobster appetizer or simply didnt get what they paid for its not good for anyone involved.
The side shrimp noodles was delicious 😋 I loved the mushrooms in it and the angel hair noodles as well as the presentation.
The shrimp salad appetizer was really good too.
The pineapple juice was not worth 3.00 and no refill it wasn't fresh and tasted like water with pineapple additive.
The spider roll tastes burnt inside and fishy. Fried shrimp should not have a weird fishy taste. I've had spider roll many times and nope. I was forced to eat it because they have a strict policy and will charge a fee for left overs.
I normally don't drink soda but I had a Shirley Temple because I needed to cheer my mouth up.
I don't remember what else I ate that I liked but I liked it enough to return.
Next time I will not get the buffet I will order A LA cart and just get the few items I identified that I liked.

“My mom and I have been coming here for years and it has always been nothing but amazing every time! The jalapeño roll and Nemo roll are my favorite! The sashimi is always fresh and the staff is always so kind and quick to help! Even the non sushi meals are SUPER good and flavorful!“

“An Outstanding Dining Experience at this place My recent visit was truly exceptional, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. What truly set Kyoto apart, however, was the outstanding service we received from our waitress Tiffany Nguyen. She was incredibly attentive without being intrusive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. She offered fantastic recommendations, ensuring we tried some of the restaurant's specialties, and made sure our drinks were always refilled. Her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm made our meal even more enjoyable. It's rare to encounter such dedicated and personable service these days. “My friend and I drive about 2 hours from outside the area just for this kura. We visit multiple times a year (or month if the collab menu is good) and have never left dissapointed.
Compared to other locations they have a much better care for temperature and hygiene. The kura in katy (NOT THIS ONE) has a bleach/hydrogen peroxide smell that permeates the area and leaves guests wondering what smell/gross stuff they're hiding. This location is simply fresh, cool, and a good place to eat if you just want some sushi.
I think with any sushi restaurant the first thing that people notice is temperature and hygiene (at least I hope lol) and this location gets an A+.
As far as the menu goes there really isn't a bad roll. Can't forget the beer either.“

“I had dinner there tonight after several friends recommended it to me. My friends know I love sushi, and I took my son there to try it out. The presentation of the food was beautiful, our orders came out fast, considering what they were, and this was honestly some of the best sushi I have eaten. Our waiter was attentive, and very friendly. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. As I was with my young son, I did not try the bar. I look forward to coming back. I’m trying different aspects of this place, and I was really impressed tonight. Try the Lobster Bomb Roll!“
