“We went to Yen to celebrate our grandson's 11th birthday. The family gathered around our own hibachi table. We started with soup and salad and then enjoyed the show put on by Chef Bobby as he prepared our dinners. The mixture of steak, chicken, shrimp, and scallops that we ate along with fried rice and grilled vegetables was delicious and perfectly cooked. Yen was a wonderful place for a family celebration; and we could talk to each other as we watched the chef who was very engaging, especially with the kids.Kid-friendliness: Awesome with the kids as they are cooking at the table.“
“I was looking to try something new as I am new to the Katy area. After seeing all the great reviews I had to check it out for myself and I was not let down! The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and feels very intimate. The moment I walked in the door every person I spoke with was friendly and the service was phenomenal. I didn’t catch my server’s name but I think on the receipt it said Mabe. She was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the shumai and 2 sushi rolls. I was not expecting the rolls to be so large! They were delicious and I was stuffed! This is a bit of a higher price point but it was worth every penny! I will be back!“
“An Asian-Latin fusion restaurant? Yeah, I definitely had to try out San Eatery, and I'm glad that I did. You order at the counter, and they give you a buzzer to let you know when your food will be ready, and I really like it when restaurants do this! Now here is what I got:♡ Ribs BBQ (Costillas). 9/10Wow, this was SO good. I was craving some Chinese BBQ, and this definitely satisfied my craving. Some of the pieces of meat were a little hard to chew, but I didn't mind because the sweet-savory sauce was very yummy, and there was a good amount of it. I had the ribs with the mofongo!♡ Mofongo. 6/10This is my first time trying Mofongo, and I have to say that this reminds me of mashed potatoes, but the texture is a little on the drier side. I think this is just OK, but I personally wouldn't get it again. Maybe fried rice would've been better with my bbq ribs.♡ Tostones con ajo. 7/10First time trying fried plantains, and wow, the garlic definitely elevated it. I'm assuming the sauce that came with it is spicy mayo, but I think it paired nicely with the tostones. I do wish the garlic was spread out more evenly between the tostones, but that's okay. It's still good!。 ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ 。FINAL VERDICT:I'd definitely come here again. There are other things on the menu that I'd love to try, like the other platter options and fried rice. Also, the portion sizes are huge, which is good to stretch out for another day or two! It's probably best to not eat the food in one sitting anyways cos the food is a little heavy/rich.“
“This place has incredible food. It has a huge selection, and it is truly gourmet quality. I got a Curry bowl with brown rice, which is very unique, and it's the best thing I have tasted in about a year. It was so good I made my wife go back again the next day and ate the same thing. We sat outside with our dog although the interior is very warm and welcoming. It's a pretty good looking crowd too. The staff is super friendly and attentive, but not annoying. The place isn't that big inside, although beautifully decorated, so for selfish reasons I hope it doesn't get too too popular. The owner came by our table and we found out that he's going to try to fence in the front sidewalks on the West and South sides, and on the backside he's also going to a have a whole fenced section for outdoor dining. Absolutely one of our favorite spots on the whole West side of town now and you'll be seeing us there often.Vegetarian options: Use tofu as your "protein'" if you want to eat heart healthy.“
“What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I had the tasting menu and every single dish was excellent. It really was a downtown sushi experience. The service was also exceptional. This hidden gem is a must if you’re a sushi lover.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to any dietary restrictions“
“Excellent food and service! Went for my husbands birthday but we will definitely be back soon for date night! Great prices, and everything was delicious we loved the all you can eat!Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has accessible parking, bathrooms and tables. However with the high bar you couldn’t sit there.“
“We sat at the sushi bar and asked to enjoy the Omakase experience. The chef was fantastic! We told him we would try anything but a couple of us didn't like spicy. He prepared many dishes for us, each one absolutely phenomenal! This place is an absolute gem. The service was fantastic, everyone super friendly and beyond helpful. Absolutely fantastic experience.“
“Quality is 5 stars super fresh and well made. Great place for slow relaxing dinner in great ambiance with very kind servers. Everything is made fresh and when they fill up it might take a bit longer than you may be used to. Our dinner went about 2 hours. Be ready to spend up about $75/pp for 2 adults and 2 kids. Think omakase.“
“I was invited by my friends to attend a live concert, and try their specialty Teriyaki bowl! I can say with Great Confidence that their Teriyaki beef is on the top of the charts!!! Absolutely Hands Down the Very Best Beef Teriyaki I have ever consumed! The flavor is all in the beef and rice!!! I've tried many Asian restaurants, and I mean soo many across Houston and Dallas combined!!! I can say with FULL CONFIDENCE that Thai Cuisine & Ramen King held itself to The Highest Standards when making this dish! It was absolute perfection all around. The owner is super cool and took my order down to a T! I'll for sure come back again and again!!!“
“I randomly chose this place to eat, and I am so happy I did. I loved it! I loved everything about it, from the food to the service. The sushi was amazing. I ordered the charizard roll and will order it again next time. The 5 sushi combo was also amazing. They also had really good fried rice! We will definitely be coming back!“
“There were three of us and all our food was excellent. I never knew I would like sushi but I loved it, we ordered two different ones, I liked the shaggy dog the best, the other one was excellent too but I can't remember the name of it. The waitress was excellent as well and the place was very clean. Too bad I don't live here or I would be back very often!“
“I like everything I've ordered from Fuji Sushi, their delivery is quick, they've always gotten our order correctly filled, and the people who work there have always been nice to interact with. Will be ordering again in the future.“
“We got Tonkotsu Ramen, Gyoza, Eel Rice, Seaweed Salad, and Fried Rice. All of them tasted fantastic. We finished all our food.Service was also great! The servers were friendly, attentive, and very quick/responsive.Great place for Japanese food. We would definitely come back.“
“Their gimbap is amazing!!! but miso soup is very salty and little. It is an appetizer but serving it in a big bowl to give 1/4 content does not appear good to a customer. Waited for it for 10mins, followed up and that’s the only time the server started making the soup. I had high hopes for them because their gimbap is reaaaaally good only to be disappointed.“
“Amazing restaurant! The sushi is great and cheap and I really liked that is a revolving bar. The staff is always super friendly and willing to help as much as they can, specially if it’s your first time. I would highly recommend the tiger roll and the popcorn shrimp!“
“Pretty decent place for a local sushi/ asian fusion place where you can enjoy japanese/chinese/thai food at the place. The selection of dishes are available widely. I am hoping that that have enough ingredients for everything on the menu. Tonight they ran out of Hamachi Kama and Beef Negimaki. But we still enjoye the Shrimp Lomein a tad salty, awesome rock shrimp, the special rools are nice and taste fresh. Soft shell crab tempura is nice and crunchy served with mixed veggie tempura. We had the Rainbow roll and the age tofu and the sauce are decent. The salmon skin salad i can still taste the bitter part of the skin but the kani salad with apple is nice to have.“
“My chicken soba noodle lunch dish was pretty good! I enjoyed the noodles a lot, although I do wish the chicken was less dry and more flavorful. The salad that comes with the bento boxes and noodle bowls is fantastic, especially the dressing!!The lunch menu prices were decent and the staff was really nice. The time to receive my meal was pretty short but the time to receive my parents’s meal was a bit on the long side. The restaurant is very clean, spacious, updated, and has great music playing in the background.Parking was easily available.“
“Sushi was amazing. Peter’s customer service was the best I’ve experienced over any fine dining restaurant. Peter always made sure our food was great and it was better than great. Besides the sushi being fantastic he made the experience next level. Recommend over and over.“
“Absolutely DELICIOUS sushi! The Tiger Eye Roll and the garlic broccoli dish make this pregnant mama very happy. First visit here with my husband on a weekday night, restaurant was very quiet and the location is super convenient to home. Sally was our waitress and she was a doll and made the entire experience a pleasant one.Definitely get some strawberry mochi for dessert, you’ll leave full and pleased. Can’t wait to go back!“
“I love the sushi! They don't go heavy on the fillers (AKA- rice), portion sizes are very generous, low prices for what you get and the Tokyo Rose Martini is the bomb! I've tried many sushi restaurants in the area and this one is by far our favorite. Love how great they are with our son as well. It's a must try!Kid-friendliness: They always have a low surprise for kiddos and treat them so friendly! Lucy is amazing!“
