“On July 12 my grandmother and I went to lunch at Top Sushi when a huge storm came in. The manager who has always been so friendly, welcoming, and kind was there and went to every table offering to walk each customer to their car with his personal umbrella. While I went to grab the car he stayed with my grandmother, held her things, and made sure she got in the car dry while he got hit by the rain. He also showed such concern to me making sure I wasn’t driving far and told me we were more than welcome to stay at the restaurant until the storm is over. I was so moved by his gracious acts and being a genuinely great person. You don’t see that anymore and I am so appreciative of him. I did not get his name but I want him to know how much that moved my grandmother and I. Thank you!!“

“I’ve been looking for a real good Chinese restaurant for months and finally came across Fang’s. I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and as soon as I opened the container I knew it would be delicious! Tons of shrimp and a big portion! Rice was cooked to perfection. The sweet and sour chicken along with the egg rolls were very delicious as well! This is definitely my new go-to spot!“

“Came on a Friday night, great ambience and buzz in the restaurant. Sat at the sushi bar, service was prompt and attentive for how busy it was. Sushi was excellent, will be back. Pricing was very reasonable for both portion and quality. Rolls pictured - top (tuna avocado), left (ninja), right (rainbow), bottom (eel cucumber).“

“This was our family’s first time at the restaurant and we will definitely be back. We went on a Sunday evening around 6 and were able to get a table without a reservation. Cam was our server and he had excellent recommendations and made it easier to decide what to get on their extensive menu. He was also very personable and attentive and happy to help answer questions. We started with the grand margarita and an IPA, both were excellent. We got the calamari and egg rolls for an appetizer, we got the Scottish salmon bento box, the Ginza roll and a specialty seasonal roll. It was a lot of food but very tasty. The calamari was great but only two of us were eating it so it was a little too much food for two. The bento box was a way to try multiple things, and the sushi was extremely fresh and well flavored. The rolls were also well balanced with the flavors. They had cool lights coming down from the ceiling that looked like jelly fish. It’s a smaller space, but a cozy atmosphere and a nice bar at the front.“

“I would have gave the service a 5star if it wasn’t for the lady at the host post! I came in asked about the lunch specials and she said yes we have them would you like it Togo! 🤔 I said no! I want to eat here if I wanted food Togo to would have preordered! She did not make me feel welcomed and then tried to seat me in the back! With all the available seats in the front I wasn’t understanding the placement! FYI..please don’t sit a POC in the back! We take offense to it! But anyways, if my favorite bartender wasn’t here I would have left after that encounter! Because she definitely made me uncomfortable and wasn’t welcoming! 😒The first time I came here we just came for drinks because we were waiting for our table at another restaurant nearby. But let me start with Anthony. He was AMAZING! Very hospitable, informative, and just overall good energy! He told us about the lunch all you can eat specials ($20)and the dinner one! ($30) he made an amazing ocean breeze (alcohol adult beverage) and I promised I would be back for food! 2days later I came for appetizers. Amazing 🤩 also! I had the volcano wings and spicy edamame. Told him I’d be back for sushi! Here I am today a week later enjoying deliciousness!!“

“We have found our new home for sushi and hibachi.
They have the best stuffed fried Jalapenos I've ever had.
Every roll was perfection crunchy sweet savory.
My daughter is the Salmon lover of the family and she was very happy and ordered several portions with eye rolling delight.
The Hibachi beef had my grandson order seconds so tender so flavorful.
The rice was delicious .
Our waiter was so young but had the bearing of an older man with a sense of and almost a sense of ownership.
We are coming back.

“We stopped by Hayashi Hibachi & Sushi while passing through Houston, and overall it was a really good experience. The restaurant was quiet, and the service was quick, which we appreciated.

I ordered the yellowtail jalapeño — I get this every chance I get at sushi spots — and this one did NOT disappoint. 10/10 recommend. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

The spicy girl roll was good, but I expected a bit more heat. It definitely tasted better once I paired it with soy sauce. The tempura tuna didn’t have a ton of flavor on its own, but again, soy sauce helped bring it together.

The gyoza was my only real complaint. It was a little doughy for my liking and could’ve used a bit more crisp or texture.

The hibachi steak was solid — I’d give it about a 7/10. Good, but not the standout of the meal.

Overall, everything was good, service was fast, and I’d definitely come back — especially for that yellowtail jalapeño.“

“Trust. It looks empty and you might have to wait a few mins for him to go out and greet you but since he’s (I think) the only one in the kitchen, he takes a bit. We were greeted rather easily and he was taking our orders out as they became ready. We ordered the pink lady (9/10), spicy tuna (8.5/10), rainbow (8/10) and the dragon (9/10). They were SO good. Don’t be rude, give him a bit and enjoy your food when you get it! He’s super sweet and we made sure to tell him thank you bc he had a rude customer (looking at you Mr. Nissan Sentra). “We tried this place just by passing by today 8/18/24. We have eaten at many other places and we love this one. Food was excellent and good serving sizes. Prices are good. We had three different sushi plates and it all tasted fresh. I had a vermicelli bowl and absolutely loved it. My husband had Pho and our kids had orange chicken and house lo mein. Everything was fresh. Staff was so attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.“

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday, and it was a great experience. The restaurant was nice and quiet, which made for a relaxing meal. We’ve been coming here for years but hadn’t visited in over two years, so it was exciting to see that the food quality is still outstanding.

Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We especially loved the spicy scallop and tuna hand rolls — always a favorite! The bento boxes were warm, generous, and full of flavor, and the miso soup was comforting and perfectly seasoned.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly. It’s great to know this place continues to deliver consistently high quality. We’ll definitely be back again soon!“

“Our decision to try Sakekawa stemmed from a recommendation on the "I Love Conroe" Facebook group, sparking our curiosity. However, our experience was a little mixed. While the hibachi dishes left much to be desired – with fishy-tasting soup, mediocre fried rice, and average steak – the sushi, particularly the fish's size and quality, earned high praise from my husband, a Tokyo native. Yet, inconsistencies in rice texture across rolls and the unappetizing presentation of rice spilling from the sides marred the sushi experience. The restaurant's ambiance was undeniably beautiful, but the unsightly vents on the ceiling detracted from its overall appeal. Moreover, our encounter with the manager, Kristie, soured the experience further. Despite making a reservation, navigating the nuances of hibachi dining on OpenTable proved challenging, leading to an unpleasant interaction with Kristie upon arrival. Her demeanor lacked hospitality, and her approach to handling reservations felt unwelcoming and unnecessary. Despite these setbacks, the allure of high-quality sushi draws us back, albeit to the alternative location to bypass any potential encounters with Kristie.
