“My first impression when I walked into the restaurant was that it didn't smell clean. It has the smell of a sour mop. I think the first thing that this restaurant should do is improve the aroma in the restaurant. It will make for a more pleasant experience. Aside for that. The prices for their lunch special was very affordable, especially considering the large portions of food that they provide. In the chicken with broccoli as a brown sauce, but it tastes like very good quality ingredients. Some of the best chicken with broccoli sauce that I've had. The chicken was a little chewy and the vegetables were very crunchy and undercooked. The egg drop suit could have used a little bit more flavor. It was more clear and not yellow like most Chinese restaurants. But I would definitely go back there again for the large portions and would be interested in trying other items that are on their menu“

“Houston Location: We arrived at our reservation and waited 10 minutes for the hostess. Once seated, we were uninstructed on how to order. Sushi chefs explained the process. Our waiter arrived 10 minutes after, taking our drink order. The app arrived before the waters, followed by the drinks after we ordered and received the sushi. The manager noticed us looking for our waiter but was often in the corner on his phone or socializing with the hostess. The sushi chefs were also on their phones while making the sushi, which was unhealthy. Despite the germy seasoning, the food was amazing.“

“Don't let the strip malls of Houston confuse you, there are some gorgeous restaurants hidden inside and Aburi happens to be one of them. Whoever designed this place deserves an award. You are simultaneously transported to Japan and Europe at the same time. It is just lovely.

The food is incredible. Everything was thoughtfully made and sometimes surprising. For instance, I have never had a caper with my nigiri before and now I always want capers. The Waygo skewers were perfect and the Brussel Sprouts were so savory. I had a delicious take on a Dubai ice cream cone that was incredible for dessert.

The staff is also quite lovely. Ashton was our server and he had fantastic recommendations, made everything so pleasant and orchestrated the meal so beautifully we did not wait on anything.

The presentation of the food was beautiful, our orders came out fast, considering what they were, and this was honestly some of the best sushi I have eaten. “I walked in and asked someone nearby for a menu .He said menus are online rudely and walked off . I stood up there for a few minutes no one came back up to greet me or take my order . As soon as some Caucasian people walk in a man came out back greeted them & seated them all while I was just standing there . I just left respectfully . I was shocked that this place of business only caters to certain races not the African Americans and I normally dine in at the Mexican Restaraunt but I seen that a new spot opened up and I wanted to support . My family has been̈ treated very nice at the Mexican restataunt in the same shopping center everytime we go Customer Service is superb . This Educated African American will happily spend her black dollars where it is appreciated .You all need to take notes on welcoming everyone to your place of business regardless of color .“

“Just found my new favorite sushi spot! 🍣 This was our first visit, and the sushi was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious by our standards.

It would have been even better if the sushi rice had been stickier and more tender. The texture of the rice was the only downside.

Unfortunately, the service was mediocre. We placed most of our order through the iPad, so there wasn’t much interaction with the staff. At the end of the meal, the waitress just quickly dropped the check on the table for me to sign and walked away without saying a word.

I always tip 20% for good service, and I did the same on this first visit. However, if the service is the same next time, the tip will reflect the experience. Good service deserves a good tip, and poor service deserves less.“

I got the lobster and filet mignon roll and it was pretty pricey, and it was not good. The only good part that was good was the fried Lobster. The roll itself was not tasty at all. I will be back, but I was disappointed. I wanted to treat myself.“

“I highly recommend the lobster, spicy tuna, and fatty tuna handroll. They also have great vegetarian options and the avocado handroll is my favorite. I alternate between the negitoro and chirashi rice bowls during my visits. For dessert, their raspberry kakigori has been on the menu since they opened almost two years ago for good reason. The chefs and front of house staff are personable and welcoming. They are passionate about what they do and are open to feedback.“

Every piece of sushi in Miyagi's decades of operation passes through a single chef's skilled hands. The rice maintains its fresh warmth from cooking through his deft, practiced motions. There is a consistency here that you will not find elsewhere in Houston, where a team of chefs can come and go according to the whims of restauranteurs.

Expect a wait, potentially hours, which will be worse the later you arrive during their operating hours. The chef's signature style of large, bold maki and nigiri may annoy customers who prefer smaller pieces instead of his mouth-filling morsels.“

“Big note to start: the parking is a little cramped and not as plentiful so consider carpooling if you come as a group! Sushi Wabi came to my gf and I on an Instagram reel that hit us with a bullseye! The atmosphere of the restaurant hits as soon as you walk because the outside of the building looks deceiving. My gf had the Fuji Mountain (or Mt. Fuji) and Spider Maki Rolls, while I had the Hiroshima Okonomiyaki. I started with the Fried Yam and she started with the edamame. I enjoyed the yam as an alternative to the regular finger foods/entrees of American restaurants along with the slightly spicy sauce that was served with the yam fries! I tasted both the rolls and fell in love with the cheesy and fishy taste of the Fuji roll, but still really enjoyed the Spider Roll she had. This was my first time having okonomiyaki and it was such a delight, despite not being a fan of pancakes the way I'm used to! The portions are great and not too terribly priced either. This place serves as a great double or regular date spot!“
