“My first impression when I walked into the restaurant was that it didn't smell clean. It has the smell of a sour mop. I think the first thing that this restaurant should do is improve the aroma in the restaurant. It will make for a more pleasant experience. Aside for that. The prices for their lunch special was very affordable, especially considering the large portions of food that they provide. In the chicken with broccoli as a brown sauce, but it tastes like very good quality ingredients. Some of the best chicken with broccoli sauce that I've had. The chicken was a little chewy and the vegetables were very crunchy and undercooked. The egg drop suit could have used a little bit more flavor. It was more clear and not yellow like most Chinese restaurants. But I would definitely go back there again for the large portions and would be interested in trying other items that are on their menu“

“I have visited Uchiko and its sister locations many times over the years. For the most part, the food and service have been excellent. Yesterday, we had a reservation at Uchiko to celebrate my sister’s birthday. I felt somewhat disappointed by the service because we seemed rushed; our plates and chopsticks were removed before our final dish arrived. We were asked to order dessert and given spoons while still waiting for our nigiri. Jack, the manager, checked on tables and was attentive, understanding, and very apologetic when he reached us. The server returned, apologized, and provided another round of two different nigiris on the house, while the manager offered free drinks and a gift card for my sister. Exceptional service like this encourages customers to return. I recognize how hectic a busy night can be, but the staff’s apology and quick recovery turned a negative experience into a positive one. I will not name the server because she made amends and I can understand the chaos on a Saturday night. I appreciate Jack for handling the situation well and caring for us. We will certainly return. “Houston Location: We arrived at our reservation and waited 10 minutes for the hostess. Once seated, we were uninstructed on how to order. Sushi chefs explained the process. Our waiter arrived 10 minutes after, taking our drink order. The app arrived before the waters, followed by the drinks after we ordered and received the sushi. The manager noticed us looking for our waiter but was often in the corner on his phone or socializing with the hostess. The sushi chefs were also on their phones while making the sushi, which was unhealthy. Despite the germy seasoning, the food was amazing.“

As soon as some Caucasian people walk in a man came out back greeted them & seated them all while I was just standing there . I just left respectfully . I was shocked that this place of business only caters to certain races not the African Americans and I normally dine in at the Mexican Restaraunt but I seen that a new spot opened up and I wanted to support . My family has been̈ treated very nice at the Mexican restataunt in the same shopping center everytime we go Customer Service is superb . This Educated African American will happily spend her black dollars where it is appreciated .You all need to take notes on welcoming everyone to your place of business regardless of color .“

“I love this place. It’s delicious without being overpriced. It’s got a good vibe and isn’t pretentious. The negitoro bowl and chirashi are so good. They pay attention to small details like marinated leeks and perfectly seasoned rice. Not one piece left. I absolutely love their mango dessert. They say the ice is flown in from Japan. Whether that’s true or not, that dessert is so tasty - and somehow it’s vegan. Their service is attentive and responsive too. Highly recommend!“

“We came in right when Sushi Wabi opened, so the place was empty and everything was spotless. As soon as I walked in, I honestly felt like I had stepped into a little restaurant on a street corner somewhere in Japan. The design, decorations, and overall atmosphere were really well thought out. It was pretty cool and definitely added to the experience.

Our server was very friendly and really knowledgeable about the menu. He answered every question we had and gave us some great recommendations, which made ordering a lot easier.

I tried the Japanese Pancake for the first time and ordered the Hiroshima with shrimp and octopus. It had noodles, vegetables, egg, mayo, shrimp, and octopus. All the flavors came together really well, and it was delicious. The portion was HUGE! My only complaint was that there wasn’t enough shrimp and octopus for a pancake that size. Other than that, I definitely recommend trying it.

I also ordered the Rainbow Sushi with a side of vegetable fried rice. The fried rice was steaming hot, packed with vegetables, and very flavorful. Honestly, it may be one of the best fried rice dishes I’ve had in the area. The Rainbow Sushi was also very fresh. The pieces were a little big, but I’m definitely not complaining about extra food 😂

Overall, Sushi Wabi was a great experience. The atmosphere was unique, the service was excellent, the portions were generous, and the food was delicious. Definitely a place I’d come back to!“

“I chose the buffet. My server was awesome. Seemed like she was doing 2 jobs bar tending and serving me. Hopefully that's her choice because they looked over staffed with many people standing around chatting not working.

I love that the tvs are on the cooking shows I just wish subtitles were in English.

They baked oysters were so tuff I couldn't finish 2 out of 4. The fire ball roll had 0 spice. They should change the name.

The menu is deceptive. Lobster appetizer has no lobster its all crayfish and snow crab is imitation.

It should be explained because if someone is allergic to crawfish and they ordered lobster appetizer or simply didnt get what they paid for its not good for anyone involved.

The side shrimp noodles was delicious 😋 I loved the mushrooms in it and the angel hair noodles as well as the presentation.

The shrimp salad appetizer was really good too.

The pineapple juice was not worth 3.00 and no refill it wasn't fresh and tasted like water with pineapple additive.

The spider roll tastes burnt inside and fishy. Fried shrimp should not have a weird fishy taste. I've had spider roll many times and nope. I was forced to eat it because they have a strict policy and will charge a fee for left overs.

I normally don't drink soda but I had a Shirley Temple because I needed to cheer my mouth up.

I don't remember what else I ate that I liked but I liked it enough to return.

Next time I will not get the buffet I will order A LA cart and just get the few items I identified that I liked.

We asked to swap the noodles for rice noodles in the wonton noodle soup since my kid doesn't eat egg noodles, and they were super accommodating about it — probably helped that it wasn't peak hour, but still, much appreciated. Chicken feet and ribs were both solid, congee was on point too, and the beef wasn't over-marinated which I really liked. Honestly, only thing I'd say is the place is tiny, but that's it.
