“I thought this restaurant was especially well run given the crush of people wanting to get in. They don’t take reservations but they handle it very well. At exactly 5:00 (opening time) they started letting people in a table at time. They do this in a very controlled manner so the kitchen and wait staff are not overwhelmed and the room never feels over crowded. This is a commitment to a quality experience I truly respect. The down side is it’s not easy to get in. Best to be there early and be near the front of the line. Otherwise it could be a long wait. But once you are in it’s totally chill. Great service and a very reasonably priced menu for the quality of the experience especially considering where you are.My brisket was perfect (Texas style slow cooked without sauce) with a very tasty sauce on the side. The sides were some very tasty Texas style beans and some of the best potato salad ever (creamy egg sauce with plenty of dill). And I can’t say enough about my margarita.I’m sorry to disagree with so many but this was not a mediocre experience. It may not be the Ritz but it’s unique, special, and very affordable.“
“Delicious tacos in an open-air atmosphere. Everything was very clean and the service was fast with plenty of available seating and parking. The only real downside is that they don't serve beer, but they do allow you to bring outside beverages if you need a cold Modelo with your tacos. Sure beats waiting around for an hour for a table at the starlight theater.“
“The restaurant is new and very clean. Chicken flautas were nice and crispy. The chicken had a good flavor. Loaded nachos presented well. Husband enjoyed them. Only one free basket of chips, then $6 for another basket. Overall, the quality of food is a little above average. I would go back again.“
“We had the beef fajita quesadilla, chicken flautas, and chicken tacos. Everything was great! Meal came with entree, small salad, rice, beans, and some of the best salsa we have ever had. Highly recommend! Food truck sits behind office for RV park across from Cottonwood grocery store. There is a sign viewable from the road.“
“We loved the chicken fried steak (amazing gravy, actual steak perfectly cooked) and cold shiner at this charming cafe! Upgrading the nachos to fajita meat was definitely worthwhile. It was the perfect post hike meal. The server was a gem and we will definitely return on future trips.“
“We went after a day in the Park. Really was craving a simple sandwich (club), but unfortunately being hours away from anything and running out of items isn't an easy fix. We ended up getting a burger (HUGE) and a philly wrap. Food was adequate, staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved the amount of seating.“
“Set the stage by saying most of us are in the region for either exploring the area or outdoor adventure. With that in mind, we want a bed and clean room to come back to at end of the day. The Longhorn Ranch is extremely clean with only the basics of amenities. Staff are so helpful and food in restaurant great. The place lends perfectly to any adventure seeking party who is into modest accommodation. Highly recommend or area and price point.“
“Best tacos in all of the Big Bend, especially the Birria! Open daily for breakfast and lunch, always served with a smile. If tacos aren't your thing (are you serious? ?) the brisket melt and the burgers are also top notch. Outdoor dining or take-away only.“
