“One of the best bars we have ever been in! Food was good. The service was perfect, and still friendly. I (Mrs.) felt welcome in any thing I felt like wearing. We will be back“
“The Boathouse is kinda sacred. I know that sounds corny, but music is life in Terlingua. It is magic, a gift from the land to the locals and tourists alike. The Boathouse is the church where you celebrate the musicians who share this gift. Hammer has built a welcoming home away from home. I can't recommend it enough. Go see a show, enjoy a few cold beers and let that magic in.“

“Great place to stop and eat while visiting Terlingua. Food neber disappoints. Art everywhere inside like an art gallery. Only problem is every employee seems pissed off. I've never once seen anyone here smile out of the 10 times I've been here.“

“High Sierra Bar & Grill is a must-stop if you’re anywhere near Ghost Town, Texas. The margaritas are some of the best I’ve had—perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and just the right kick. Their tostadas were fresh, flavorful, and generously topped—definitely recommend trying them. What really makes this place special, though, is the atmosphere. It’s incredibly welcoming, laid-back, and full of character. They’re also super pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. Our pup was treated like family and felt right at home on the patio. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind—hospitality at its finest. Whether you’re just passing through or staying in the area, High Sierra offers a great taste of local charm with good food, strong drinks, and even stronger vibes.“

“Food was really good. Service was good when you order. Servers never came to table to see if you needed anything. Everything is basiclsly self service. Place is really nice, but there is no indoor seating and shade is limited. I would recommend it and would definitely go back.“
