“Ate lunch today at Barbs BQ. We drove in from Port Neches to enjoy this amazing food. The brisket was melt in your mouth, the pork ribs were some of the best I’ve had, the moist smoked turkey was Devine and the jalapeño cheese fajita sausage was the best I’ve tasted. If you’re within an hour of Lockhart, make the trip. Your tastebuds will thank you!”

“I swung by Terry Black’s this morning to pick up a big order of barbecue to take to friends in California, because they need to know what the very best barbecue in Texas tastes like. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Chad, Sharon, and Kait were so helpful behind the counter, making sure everything was wrapped perfectly for a travel cooler and ready to survive a flight, complete with reheating instructions for when it arrived.⁣ ⁣ What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. They took the time to visit with me, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed. We ended up having some great conversations, and they even let us sample a few things before we decided exactly what to order.⁣ ⁣ The food is phenomenal, but the people are what make you want to come back. Texas barbecue is about more than brisket, it’s about generosity and making people feel welcome, and this team absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to share a little taste of Texas with my California friends.”

A lot of limes and a good amount of salsa were also included. I don’t know why I took this long to try Tejas Birria. Likewise, it truly is a local family business. I had the pleasure to meet the family who founded Tejas Birria and they are truly invested in sharing a quality meal and service with everyone. “I went to Via 313 in Webster, TX for my birthday 12/29/24 and they made my birthday amazing! I have a gluten allergy, and they went above and beyond there too. They gave me a surprise birthday dessert (it was enough to share with my party). And on my way out the door I received a birthday card and a gift card for another pizza! They made my day so special! That meal was my birthday gift, and they made it a gift that kept giving. It being right after Christmas, the experience was memorable and special! Thank you, Courtney, and the Via 313 team!”

“my husband took me to this restaurant last night for my birthday to have the prime rib dinner. everything was delicious the service was warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was excellent for a date night. The only improvement could have been a little more crisp on the fries. The two lady servers were fantastic. We will be back!”

With fresh roasted beans- you really can't go wrong! This coffee truck is nestled behind Willie's joint, it's a little awkward to turn left out of the lot on a school morning but definitely worth the traffic!!! I definitely try to make a point to swing by (when I leave my house on time!!) to grab coffee before work. No personal recommendations other than try it all at least once!”

“We made a reservation here for my boyfriend’s birthday and had an amazing time! We sat outside on the deck, and the ambiance was great. The sourdough and smoked salmon dip was delicious and everyone loved their entrees. Molly, our server, was absolutely fantastic! She brought a dessert out for my boyfriend with a candle at the end of our meal and played a harmonica while we sang happy birthday. We couldn’t have asked for a better night. Will be back again!”
