Ate lunch today at Barbs BQ. We drove in from Port Neches to enjoy this amazing food. The brisket was melt in your mouth, the pork ribs were some of the best I’ve had, the moist smoked turkey was Devine and the jalapeño cheese fajita sausage was the best I’ve tasted. If you’re within an hour of Lockhart, make the trip. Your tastebuds will thank you!
Oh, man, I thought Black’s was the best BBQ. Then I visited Barb’s today. The ribs have a lime glaze that lifts them to new heights of flavor. The brisket is so tender and flavorful that you really do need two forks or similar to get it onto your plate. The green spaghetti is something you won’t find anywhere else, and the poblano sauce is divine. Then there are the smoked pecan cobbler and the pineapple upside down cobbler. Leave. Room. For.
