The Local Fix Reviews
Miss the old menu, the old charm, now you make Uvalde feel like Austin, and that's not good. But I'm just a person who believes don't fix what ain't broke.
You will love the combination of flavors Chef Billy Joe puts together, do your tastebuds a favor and visit him!
the food was 'just ok' nothing fantastic, red and black chips everywhere...they need to Go! the top shelf Margarita was Amazing!! not having a wait staff is a Big No for me. My first impression walking in was Very Bad,was handed a menu and sent to an ordering area and given a plastic number to put on the table, might as well go to Whataburger. No one wants to keep walking back up to place another order for a Cocktail or food. Very pricey for not having servers. Will Not be back.

The Local Fix is a charming coffee shop that serves exceptional coffee and delicious food, with the French toast remaining a standout dish. The food has been described as absolutely delicious, with options like Tammy's Meatloaf, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and a Grilled Chicken Caesar. The friendly and cheerful staff provide excellent service, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. This quaint spot now features a beautiful atmosphere and a kid-friendly environment, perfect for family gatherings. Diners have enjoyed everything from smash burgers and pancakes to salmon bowls and biscuits with sausage gravy. The varied menu consistently impresses, ensuring that it never disappoints. The new, larger building is beautifully designed and enhances the overall experience, making it a treat for those looking for good food in a lovely setting. Recently, the place looks brand new with a warm, modern vibe inside and a Texas-stone courtyard outside. The staff is friendly, and the food is good, including a combo breakfast/lunch menu with coffee shop style coffees and tea. The restaurant is now open for dinner as well. Customers have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which is exceptional whether for breakfast or dinner. Favorites include steak and eggs with a large, crispy biscuit and gravy, and the banana praline pecan waffle, which has been described as "freaking phenomenal." The atmosphere feels elevated, and the menu offers a great variety. While the service is good and checkouts are easy, some have noted that a hostess or busser could improve the experience. Overall, this spot is highly recommended for those seeking good food in a lovely setting, with many choosing it over other options like IHOP.
