“On our drive home from camping at Seminole Canyon SP, we were starving and needed some food. Found this place and heard the chicken fried steak was the meal to get at this little place. Walked in and enjoyed a seat by the window. Not much vegetarian options for my friend, but his son got a double burger and I got the chicken fried steak. My friend didn't think I could eat it all and after the first bite, it was challenge accepted. Got to talking to the waiter and he mentioned they buy their meat locally and you could tell it was a good piece battered and fried. I got 2 sunny side eggs with it to soak up the plate and I do have to say this was the best CFS that I have had in a long time. I also got a Menudo to go as I was eating, but they forgot to put the order in and in the rush, the top lid cracked and it leaked out on way home. This was a bummer, since I was hoping to have it the next day before work. Besides this mess, I really recommend this place.”

“The food was delicious, good portions and amazing customer service. You can definitely tell everything is made from scratch. The Alfredo sauce is devine. We ordered 2 pizzas, a Ceasars salad, and Alfredo dipping sauce for the garlic knots. The pizza had the right amount of sauce, toppings, and cheese. The salad and dressing was fresh and delicious. We will definitely eat here again when we are out this way.”

“It’s a true mom-and-pop restaurant. I guess for now, it’s only take-away service. The son took our order, grandpa kept a watchful eye on his grandson, and grandma delivered our food with the sweetest smile. The food is incredibly flavorful and authentic—clearly made with love. Great portions for the price, and the iced coffee was the perfect refreshing touch. Highly recommend for both the taste and the heartwarming experience. We found a perfect spot nearby at the Uvalde Memorial Park to eat our lunch.”

Some local attorneys took me here and between just how happy and friendly all the staff are how country and inviting the atmosphere is and how truly delicious that fajita was especially considering it took them next to no time to make it I’m really surprised about this little place right here. Uvalde is starting to show its colors and I am amazed, not surprised.”

“I cannot say enough about this service. Excellent hunts, excellent company, hell of a time. I’ve been on several hunts where guides are not upfront about their birds, and that was not the case! Jeff told us he would put us on birds and he delivered. We brought 9 guys in our group and limited every day with ease. Jeff even helped us find a beautiful place to stay on the Nueces River. Cleanliness and amenities made it easy to say we are coming back next year. Book your hunt with 2P.”

“Wonderful small business! We walked in 30 minutes before they closed and were greeted and immediately seated. Drinks were crisp and orders taken. Hot and delicious food was brought to us within 10 mins. We were visiting from out of town and thought we’d get dirty looks for walking in right before closing but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We left 15 mins after closing and never felt rushed to eat and go. I highly recommend them! Will definitely be back when visiting and make sure to go earlier.”

“I bought menudo this past Sunday n other times not often thou it's like extremely greasy dark the meat color like blk then the tatema still peaces of the tongue skin in it like they didn't peal it of rite but the worst is the menudo the most greasiest I've ever ate literally got sick of my stomach from the chunks of lard attached to the menudo meat just not ever again they need better cooks or something cux the prizes are not bad 👎”

“First time Dinning inside : Relaxing Atmosphere, Good Customer Service, Good Portions on each plate, (You have to stop a Busy Waitress for Re-Fills, waited for the check but realized we had to go to Register to Pay. ) But overall had a Good Experience, Food Quality was Good as well. ⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Went to eat lunch with husband and 2 boys. We each got something different. I had the Tavern Chicken Sandwich with fries, youngest had the all American smasher with onion rings, oldest boy had the dinner sized chicken Alfredo, husband had the dinner sized chicken fried steak. We also got two slices of the bourbon pecan pie to share. The meal was incredible. Oldest couldn’t finish all of his. He’s 14 with a bottomless stomach and got so full he couldn’t eat another bite. We had plenty of leftovers. Our server Joaquin R was amazing and super sweet. I highly recommend going.”
