“I'm updating this review because my jokey previous one came off as short and flippant.Open range has some of the best diner breakfast probably in the state of texas. They have some really great bakery items and I think the staff is lovely and very attentive.I just wished they were open more often”
“This is the best place I have ever been to eat in Texas. My first time coming we did fly in, so that might have been part of it, but my family stops here on the way to San Antonio for dinner/lunch every time we go. I have had just about every single one of their burgers and a couple of their sandwiches and I've never been disappointed. The waitrers/waitresses are always so kind and helpful. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous- the dogfight mural by the checkout counter truly is amazing. The menus are so classy, and a mini history lesson on the airfield's use during WWII. (Full of wonderful pictures and explanations). While waiting for the food, there's a simple playground outside for kids as well as a little soccer pitch! You can't pass this place up- good food, a place to make some memories with your kids playing outside and being right on the flightline! This is a pretty active field too, you'll catch plenty of civilian aircraft passing through or practicing as part of the pilot school here- as well as the odd helicopter and roaming T-6 Texan II's from Laughlin AFB if you're in around lunch or dinner during the week ;). Please support this business!Parking: There's a fairly small amount of parking, but I've never had trouble getting a spot. About 10 spotsKid-friendliness: Right on the flightline with windows facing out to see aircraft, but you can also take them outside to see the planes too. Soccer pitch and outdoor playground equipment! Kids menu as well”
“To Go only, unfortunately. But don’t allow that to put a damper on your meal, they have the most amazing pho. I like to add steamed vegetables. You can add shrimp or whatever you’d like.I love the honeydew tea and smoothie. The meals are delicious as well.Vegetarian options: Options are available for vegetarian swaps”
“Great find along our way to Corpus Christi!Breakfast was awesome, service was fast and price was right! You won't be disappointed stopping here...check them out.”
“I’m grateful that they get my order right because of food allergies. Simple mistakes can cause an unnecessary flare.Vegetarian options: I enjoy being able to order bean and cheese nachos or chalupas. Our Dairy Queen is seriously underrated! The best tortilla chips and tortillas chalupas. I’ve gone to many DQs everywhere because of my food restriction’s caused by allergies.DQ does an amazing job with food swaps and allergy free options.”
“Really great Italian food and the nicest staff. The owner came up and personally talked to us. We will definitely be returning on our next time coming through Uvalde :)”
“Food reminded me at the flavors of whataburger before it was bought. With this said, I like whataburger a lot. Only complaint (minimal) is that ketchup didn't taste that good, it tasted like old ketchup. Overall I would go back again for sure. The atmosphere is not my cup of tea but it goes with the cowboy team.”
“Taco Bliss is a fantastic Mexican food restaurant that offers a delicious and affordable dining experience. Their green and orange sauces are particularly noteworthy, adding a burst of flavor to the already tasty tacos. The green sauce has a tangy and spicy kick, while the orange sauce is milder and sweeter. The daily lunch specials are a great way to try different menu items without spending too much, and their breakfast tacos are filling and satisfying. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, Taco Bliss is a must-try for anyone looking for great Mexican food at a reasonable price. Don't forget to try their signature green and orange sauces – they're truly amazing!”

“I extend my sincere gratitude to you and your team for an exceptional catering experience during our Christmas dinner at Cecil Atkinson in Uvalde. The brisket, turkey, and sausage were all not only delicious but also a highlight of the evening. The quality of the food and the excellent service truly made our celebration memorable. Thank you, Evett's Barbecue, for contributing to a delightful holiday feast!”
“This is a small family business with a great attitude. They worked this beautiful business for a very long time. I always order the same thing so it's always done rite. Just check in at their business early because they run out early. Don't get upset if they are closed because when you do get them open it worth the wait.”
