“We live in Fort Worth and our youngest goes to college in Pensacola so we make the trip between the two cities several times a year. We make note of good service stations and restaurants along the way. This particular weekend, we had picked our son up from college for the summer. We were coming through Shreveport about dinnertime and decided to look for a Mexican restaurant with good reviews not too far off of I-20. We found Amigos. While the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, the inside is clean and colorful and Ramon was super friendly. The chips and salsa were excellent. The salsa had just the right amount of heat and flavor. The queso blanco was great as well. My son had the cheese enchiladas and said they were some of the best he's had. My wife had a meal that came with a couple of cheese enchiladas and a taco. She loved it. She even ate all of her rice and beans which she rarely does. I ended up ordering the pollo enchiladas with mole sauce. Excellent! Ramon was great and attentive as both an owner and a waiter. While the restaurant was empty when we arrived shortly after 5:00, it was packed by the time we left an hour or so later. The locals apparently love Amigos and that speaks volumes about the place. We'll be back when we head back to Pensacola in August. Blessings!“

“I ordered the mega burrito with pork and elote(corn in a cup). Then they said today's special included a coca cola at no extra cost. The burrito was delicious and I appreciated how they served the lettuce and tomatoe on the side. The elote reminded me of when I lived in Dallas. Absolutely delicious! It makes 2 meals for just me 😊“
