“Great little joint. Hard to tell it’s a few blocks from the Gulf of Mexico. The bar is populated by a crew of hard-core regulars who know each other very well. Athena, the day bartender, messes with them while slinging beers and drinks effortlessly with efficiency and a little good-natured sass. Not being from the area, I will definitely make a point to stop in here next time I’m around.“

“I'm not a fan of dive bars but this one in my neighborhood is a diamond in the rough. Maybe they can renovate to bring in a crowd but I do like how it's not too busy. It makes getting food and drinks not so stressful. The food is on another level with amazing combinations. All their fries and tots are delicious. Their duck wings are a must have and I enjoyed their shrimp burger. The drinks are tasty too and with enough alcohol to get you tipsy eventually. It's a fun place and glad to have it around.“
“We love going to Scotty’s on the Bay! Our favorite bartenders are Amber S and Evan! They are always very attentive. We have followed Amber S from other bars that she worked at. She’s so personable always asks those she doesn’t know their names. She’s bubbly and does her best to make sure you are having a good time! She’s also the one who recommended the many different foods and yummy appetizers that are now our favorites. She aims to greet everyone with a smile and your name!“
“So someone invited us to check this place out a while back and although I'm not a fan of some small places, I actually like this one and have been back several times. Everyone is nice and the buckets start at $16, you cant get that anywhere these days. The biggest issue for me is the smoke, I don't care for it and always go home smelling like I'm a smoker (gives me a headache) I do like that the have pool tables and electronic dart machines.“

“Happened to be passing thru from Galveston to Houston and stopped in for a drink and dinner. Glad i Did. Was a nice place. Food was good. People working was real nice and to top it of it was just a good old fashion good time all around. Made some friends and had some laughs. Music on the radio was good too. keep up the good work.“
“We always loved the service Drew gave us at our local Chili's and when he told us that he started working part-time at The Monkey Bar we thought that we would give it a try. We really didn't know what kind of place it was, Monkey Bar says Bar, but we wanted to try something different. We were actually surprised when we walked into this quaint little hangout with lots of friendly locals who were more than happy to welcome us. The staff, even the owner, were attentive to every customers needs. At first we were concerned about the cigarette smoke, but it didn't take long to notice that they have an excellent circulation system that keeps the air clean so I didn't even notice! You can order a variety of appetizers and other dishes for lunch and dinner but decided on some pretty good boudin egg rolls and some cold beers while we shot a few games of pool. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on going back to try something from the lunch or dinner selection soon.“

Tried the wagyu beef, cheddar bacon burger on the sweet bun; it was delicious. Qualified for my top 5 burgers of all time. If you live anywhere near here, you’ve gotta give it a try (and actually, I’d say it’s worth traveling to try it too)For 3 full entrees, an appetizer, a root beer float, and a dessert, after tax and tip, the total was $93, so not outrageous by any means.We will definitely be back.“

“I like this place a lot. I've lived in Webster area for about 7 years now, and this is my little secret get away. It's dim, friendly, never overly crowded. And the patio in the summer time is beautiful and dog friendly. Aside from the construction kind of ruining the whole outside view/esthetic. I love coming here and having a good cold beer or a spicy Bloody Mary.“
“I’m giving this place a 5 star rating because they deserve it. However, it has a dive bar feel and when I went to the bathroom I was fully expecting to have to clutch my weapon while urinating, I was surprised how clean and fresh smelling everything was in there. I’m not sure if I’m happy or disappointed. But this place is awesome other than not getting the full experience of having to fight anyone in a Trainspotting-like bathroom, which I expected but I guess cleanliness is good. Whatever. The Lord of all Ninjas is a good karaoke singer.“
