“We were visiting Tyler and staying at a Hotel. Wanted mexican food for dinner to take back to the hotel. Mercado's did a wonderful job. Ordered nachos and margaritas to go. It was so delicious and they supplied everything needed to make it a wonderful meal to eat in our hotel room. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting amazing mexican food.“

“I have always been like the biggest Don Juan’s fan (On the Square) but today was above the bar! “Little family run taco shop. Doesn't look like much, but there is actually a taco shop in the back of the house. Best tacos you will find in Tyler, Texas.It is only a to-go place, also easier to pay with cash versus trying to pay with a debit card.“

“I just had some amazing tacos from Junior’s Taqueria!!! It’s been so many years since I’ve had their food and I’ll never wait that long again.

I was getting back in from Dallas and my stomach was starting to talk to me. Right then, I passed Juniors and happened to look over and see the open sign was lit up. I quickly turned around and made my way back.

I was immediately greeted as I walked in. I spoke with the kind lady at the front and placed my order. I then made my way over to my table. Within 10 minutes, my 3 tacos and 1 small quesadilla was being brought out to my table, along with their amazing green sauce.

I instantly dove right in. I squeezed some lime on everything and applied a few drops of green sauce to each item. It’s really good, but it has a kick for us wimpy folk. The lime really helps with that in my opinion. I piled on some perfectly grilled onions (I requested those when I ordered) and proceeded to dig in.

Absolute perfection!!! I enjoyed every single bite and I didn’t leave any behind. The meat was tender and juicy and the tortillas had a great texture. I’m really picky when it comes to corn tortillas, but these were excellent.

Be patient when visiting, as the family is currently going through a very rough time. Junior was an amazing person and it’s clear how much the community loved him. Y’all go show some love and support for this local business.“

One of my favorite parts is the complimentary chips that come with three different types of salsa. Everything here is made with care and you can taste the difference. Definitely a go-to spot in Tyler!“
