Came in loved the decor. Chips were bland, salsa tomatoey , needed more cilantro, green sauce was watered down until it had no taste. Ordered Chicken Cancun it was a total salt lick sent it back and ordered chicken fajita they were good . Rice was like eating busted up salt lick particles . Dr pepper was perfect . I went there with my father and paid for both of our meals. The manager of the restaurant was cheerful towards my father until he heard that I paid for our meal. Don Benito’s Mexican Cafe is a popular Tex-Mex restaurant with consistently excellent food that is always fresh, hot, and delicious. The stuffed avocado and combo fajitas are absolutely fantastic and never disappoint. The chips and their special green dip are awesome, and great specials include margaritas. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly, with a staff that is wonderful, conscientious, and efficient. The atmosphere is always welcoming and enjoyable, with clean and comfortable surroundings. Some reviews noted the food was amazing, while others found the chicken fajitas a bit bland and the taco wheels a bit stale, with tough corn tortillas around the enchiladas. Overall, the environment is great and exactly what is wanted for a Mexican food establishment, with chips and two varieties of salsa that are flavorful.
