“I met with the owners mom for an appt at her home about some home remodeling. We had a great conversation about her home, but mostly about BBQ. She sent me over to the restaurant and even paid for my lunch. I had the ribs, sliced brisket, and potato salad. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I’m in Willis for work quite often and I’ll make sure to come back! Everybody there was so polite, and it just reminds me of a good ole country cooking and southern hospitality. Something like this always reminds me why I love being a Texan! 10/10 recommend!“

Review (5/20/2025)
This was my third visit to Black Rock Coffee. Overall, the coffee is great—comparable in quality to Starbucks—but the prices are also similar, if not a bit high. I ordered two large drinks and one Lil Rockers, and the total came out to over $20.

The barista who took my order at the drive-thru was friendly and pleasant, which I appreciated. However, the barista who handled the payment and handed me the drinks was noticeably unfriendly. She didn’t ask if I wanted to use my rewards points, didn’t offer a straw, and after handing me the drinks, she immediately shut the window and walked away without a word.

I didn’t leave a tip because I felt the drinks were already overpriced, and I got the sense that my lack of tipping may have influenced her attitude—which is disappointing, especially since she wasn’t the one who made the drinks.

That said, my first two experiences at this location were great, so I’m hoping this was just a one-off. I’d love to see more consistency in customer service.“

The owner, Tom, had assisted with making sure we got taken care of even though we had a time crunch. Within seconds our waitress had taken our order and shortly thereafter our food was ready. “MOD was my favorite pizza UNTIL I tried Crust Pizza!! Crust Pizza is perfect every time without the need to make special requests, as needed at other pizza businesses that still don’t get it right. Crust Pizza evenly applies the sauce and toppings all the way out to the edges of the pizza, they don’t just clump them in a few areas or in the center with nothing on the outer edges. I never get charred or burnt crust which ruins the pizza for me. CRUST PIZZA CO. IS THE PERFECT PIZZA EVERY TIME, WITHOUT FAIL!!“

“Food was excellent. Chloe was the bartender that day, and helped me narrow down what I wanted for lunch. Even though it was pretty busy, I was treated like the most important customer in her section. Phillip (I think) was managing that day and he came by to ask how everything was. Kevin, another server, had recognized me from a previous visit and came over to say hi. Overall just impressed with all that I saw.“

“Recently had my husband’s 40th birthday party here using their private room area and it was great! Nelson was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The servers worked hard to stay on top of everyone’s tabs and the fajita buffet was perfect! No one left hungry and the birthday boy was extremely happy with everything!“

Today i got the chicken ball an green beans instead of fries an they where awesome will keep purchasing from him. Really good you wont be disappointed. Very friendly also. No mixing frying chicken in fish grease each has its own frier . So chichen doesnt tadtr like shrimp or catfish. Cholesterol free oil no MSG at all. Which is like for me a heart attack i cannt have even a speck of MSG without going into shock. So i am so grateful they are a responsible food provider. Thank you for your concern for your customers.“
