“Very good latte, one of the best I've had while being on the road. Very kind and friendly service. I had to call for directions because Google put it inside the Bank of Texas but it's not, it's across the street between the bank and the post office. Christian religious decor inside. Some find that a positive, some a negative, so just a heads up.“
“Amazing breakfast biscuits ... suprising good. Fresh. Cute tourists memorabilia. Clean bathroom. Only downside for me was no employees had masks on, even the kitchen. No noticable sanitary gloves. Overpriced though. Tourists prices ie: $13 for small bag of pecans. $12 taffy. But worth a stop.“
“So nice to find a McDonald's with friendly, positive service. It was a great way to start the day on the road. Very clean and inviting.Staff even came around the tables checking to make sure everything was ok or if we needed anything. This place should be a model for others McDonald's to copy.Didn't find any grumpy or negative staff here.Thank you!“
“LOVE this place! 32oz iced caramel and vanilla latte was amazing. They have bagels, sandwiches, hot lunches and are so friendly. The hot lunch I got today was Pork sauce piquant on rice with buttered corn and smothered green beans. My son got a peanut butter jelly sandwich. So happy this place is here now.“
“As you cruise down the winding Texas roads from the bustling city of Houston towards the quaint town of Beaumont, a culinary oasis awaits in the unassuming town of Winnie. Tucked away like a hidden gem lies Mi Casa Taqueria, a beacon of flavor in the heart of this small Texan community. A little taste of Guadalajara cooking up birria tacos like to perfection.Picture this: tender, slow-cooked beef enveloped in a blanket of melted cheese, sandwiched between two golden tortillas crisped to perfection. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, a harmonious blend of savory meat, gooey cheese, fresh cilantro and white onions, dipped in a rich consume soup. But it’s not just about the food at Mi Casa; it’s about the experience. It’s about the warmth of the owners, the sense of community, and the passion that infuses every dish. As Anthony Bourdain himself would say, “Good food is very often, even most often, simple food.” And at Mi Casa Taqueria, simplicity reigns supreme, transforming a humble quesaburria into a culinary masterpiece. So, next time you find yourself on the road between Houston and Beaumont, do yourself a favor and make a pit stop at Mi Casa Taqueria. Your taste buds will thank you.“
