When I travel I like to find local spots to eat rather than the chain places. I picked out the Ballard Street Cafe because it looked like an older place in an old downtown spot. I was not disappointed as it was exactly what I thought with exposed brick, wood floors, and a 50’s style lunch counter. In addition there were several tables and the required set of local characters sharing breakfast and gossip over coffee.

Corey our waitress was excellent, friendly, loving, great service! My hometown cafe! You gotta try it, I recommend the chicken fried steak, homemade! Awesome!
Small wait but worth it. Great biscuit and gravy.
