“It is a great value as far as Chinese food goes. For $7 or so you can get a good amount of ham fried rice, an egg roll, and an entree - that's pretty good! They are insanely fast. On my last visit, I called in my order just down the street. I had paid and was walking out with my food 7 minutes later.

To be clear though, you could probably order the General Tao's chicken, the Hot and Spicy chicken, and the Sesame Seed chicken and not be able to tell the difference between any of them. The food is fairly bland and not at all spicy. I throw on the soy sauce and crushed red pepper to help it along.

But like I said, it isn't priced like the Mandarin and it didn't taste like it either. It's good for what it is though - quick and cheap Chinese food. A way better alternative to something like Panda Express.“

For lunch I had the S1 Pho and my husband and the Curry fried rice again amazing! We finished our meal with the Vegan Flan and omg sooo good!!! “My daughter and I were just traveling through Salt Lake City and stopped to have a snack at the Corner Brew Pub in the B terminal of the airport. We were greated by the manager, who started us off with waters and our drink order from the moment he sat us. He was delightful, had a great smile, and was clearly happy to pitch in! Our server, Sarah, could not have been sweeter! She checked in on us often, made sure we were well taken care of, and had such a lovely presence!

It’s rare in an airport that you would get such great service - it was genuine and with a smile. We travel a lot in generally stick to private lounges, but this experience rejuvenated my faith in the airport restaurant experience!“

“Hubby and I stopped in for lunch for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. He had French Dip and fries and I had one of the Four Corners (Mexican) lunch specials. Really delish! Alice’s is located in a very industrial area but the interior is quirky, fun, and relaxed. Great service. I’d recommend it! I’d love to try their breakfast sometime. Food was actually super good and fresh that surprised me. Burgers are better than a lot of chain stores and the deep fried mushrooms are pretty juicy. We’ve given this place 4 tries, and while sitting at the bar is amazing for drinks, the table service and food is super slow so just set those expectations appropriately. This is a consistent experience, every time, which is a bummer with the service and food because the food is great! But even if you’re sitting at the bar, food service is *extremely* slow (40 minutes for an order of wings). It’s so unfortunate because otherwise, this place is a gem.“

The is no changing station in the men's bathroom, and when I asked for a sippy cup, they brought me back a plastic cup with no lid or straw. We made it work, but I do think people should be made aware so if you are thinking about going with little kids, you should be mentally prepared.“

We came at a slow time and Hy was prepping the prime rib for the evening. We asked a few questions before we were seated and he offered us a taste the prime rib with the horseradish, Note: I can’t stand Horseradish, but I was blown away by his. We asked for recommendations and listen as he described the different mains and the sides and we made a choice. I had the prime rib (w/a side of Horseradish) and my wife had the fish. As we waited for our food to be prepared, we walked around the inside of the restaurant and were taken back by the decor, it match the out side, quit interesting. Our food arrived and it was beyond what we have had in any restaurant back in Oceanside or Carlsbad Ca. We finished the meal and we were able to continue to talk with Hy about the location, the vibe, finding out he grows majority of his vegetables that he uses, in the back lot of the property. He then gave us an impromptu cooking class using his special blend of spices and seasonings, that he has for sale in the restaurant and on Amazon too as it turns out! We tasted some of the best roasted chicken in cream sauce, prime rib with his southwestern spice mix! All and all our experience was beyond a doubt, very enjoyable. Granted not everyone will have the experience my wife and I had, but Hy was very pleasant and yes, very focused on his work of prepping, cooking, over seeing the students that worked in his restaurant.“
