The atmosphere was really nice, but I was so disappointed with the food and the service at this location. I hate to say this but it's a significant fact. The server didn't speak English so it was really hard to order. We ordered a guacamole salad and got a side of guacamole. We tried to order a side order of beans with red Chile and the server only shook her head no to us. My Spanish rice was undercooked and my husbands dish had no flavor. I won't be going back.
I normally love La Puente. Other locations are great. This was our 1st time at this location. The food was not very good. It was very hot inside the building. The manager refused to turn the AC on even though it was 90 degrees today. & some of the food was not prepared as ordered. 3 of us eating, & non of us enjoyed our food. We had been looking forward to it for over a week. So the disappointment was huge.

Food was the same as any other La Puente - smothered burrito as good as ever. However this location was pretty rough today. Front door was locked at noon when we arrived. Heat must have been off in the restaurant because it was as cold inside as it was outside. The whole time we were there no one else showed up to dine. Service was slow despite being the only people there. Definitely not up to the standard of the other locations I have been to.
