“Wow what a little gem in the middle of nowhere! Get the pizza for sure- I’m a New Yorker and I can vouch for this pizza!! They make the dough fresh every day and you can taste it. The crust is so crispy and everything about it is high quality. The salads and sandwiches are excellent too! They have a great gift shop/camping necessities shop attached to it as well which is very helpful.“

Out of all 16, Kiva Koffeehouse stood out as my absolute favorite — and honestly, it might be one of the most memorable café experiences I’ve ever had. Perched above a scenic canyon along Utah’s Highway 12, this place is more than just a coffee stop — it’s an experience. The views are breathtaking, the architecture is stunning, and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. You instantly feel like you’ve discovered something special. I stopped in before a day at Capitol Reef and Canyonlands National Parks, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, the baked goods were fresh, and everything came with a smile. The pace is calm and peaceful — a welcome change from the rush of the road. Note: Kiva Koffeehouse is only open from April to October, so plan ahead. Trust me — it’s worth timing your route around it. If you’re road-tripping through southern Utah, do not miss this spot. It’s a rare mix of great coffee, friendly people, and awe-inspiring surroundings.“
