“I ordered online. I ordered the Szechuan chicken and the beef with mixed vegetables. Both were very, very delicious. The food was ready to go on time and was hot off the stove.
My critiques:
I paid extra to upgrade from plain rice to ham fried rice and from plain white rice to vegetable lo-mein. The vegetable lo mein literally had NO vegetables. It should be called “plain lo mein”. The ham fried rice had barely any detectable ham in it. It should be called “somewhat ham fried rice”. I asked for packets of sweet and sour sauce and the lady told no because my order didn’t include it. The atmosphere is not very inviting, almost like they don’t want you to sit down and eat there. Lastly, the online order app automatically adds about a 20% tip on a pickup order! You can edit it if you know it’s there, but it would be easy to miss.“

“We always enjoy the food here but this is about the customer service. They forgot one of our 4 entrees (which happens) but unlike most places, they actually realized it and called me to tell me before I'd even left the parking lot (mobile pickup order). She even threw in an order of potstickers for the minor inconvenience. That's service you don't see much anymore. We'll continue to go back!“

“I'd never heard lf this place. It showed up on a map search on my route home for takeout. I am VERY pleased because the flavor, prices, and portion sizes are significantly better than every other Chinese place I have tried within about 5 miles. Very, very highly recommend. Outstanding. I'll be back, for sure. Excellent food and value.“

The soup is packed with flavor, full of tender wontons, fresh green onions, and veggies that actually taste fresh. The Lemon Chicken was incredible — perfectly crispy, light, and coated in a bright, delicious sauce (actual chicken, not just breading!). The ham fried rice was flavorful, fresh, and comforting, not bland at all.

Everything tasted freshly made and satisfying. This is absolutely one of my go-to spots now. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👍🏼

“As a buffet, there is a wide choice of both Asian and American buffet staples. There are many different types of prepared shrimp. Many entree, salads, fruit and vegetable choices. There are sushi rolls, pot stickers, dumplings, spring rolls, etc. I enjoyed all the selections I tried and would strongly recommend this restaurant.“

“It is a great value as far as Chinese food goes. For $7 or so you can get a good amount of ham fried rice, an egg roll, and an entree - that's pretty good! They are insanely fast. On my last visit, I called in my order just down the street. I had paid and was walking out with my food 7 minutes later.

To be clear though, you could probably order the General Tao's chicken, the Hot and Spicy chicken, and the Sesame Seed chicken and not be able to tell the difference between any of them. The food is fairly bland and not at all spicy. I throw on the soy sauce and crushed red pepper to help it along.

But like I said, it isn't priced like the Mandarin and it didn't taste like it either. It's good for what it is though - quick and cheap Chinese food. A way better alternative to something like Panda Express.“

“I really wish I would have taken some pictures... I definitely will when I go back! I honestly thought this place was closed because usually I don't see any cars in the parking lot, and after the dinner I had I'm surprised that this place is not busier! The general tso's chicken was delicious!!! My son tried their strawberry chicken, it had real strawberries, in what I think was imitation strawberry sauce, it was different but still very good! We will definitely be returning!!!“

“Stopped for dinner one night. The people working in the restaurant were nice. The food was very average. The price was a little steep for the quality of the food. I remember we ordered dinner combinations and the portions were a little light for the price. The restaurant was clean and the staff were nice, but I don't know if I'll be back.“

We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Schezwan Beef, Orange Chicken and Lo Mein with chicken. Each order came w/ soup fried rice, appetizers (egg rolls, cream cheese, wontons and fried panko shrimp). We absolutely loved the appetizers. They were so good! People complain that it's expensive. It's no more expensive than any other restaurant. However, I feel like you get your bang for your buck. We enjoyed the Schezwan Beef and Kung Pao Chicken the most. It was our first time ordering, and we look forward to coming back to dine in. You can tell that this is authentic Chinese food. I'm ecstatic to have this little gem close to home!“

“Love panda express. Orange chicken is the best, so long as it's fresh. If it's not, it can be very bland. We frequent Farmington the most, but also Layton. Lunch and dinner rush are when food is the most fresh.

Also love the mushroom chicken, and noodles.“

“My husband and I love Zhang’s! I have celiac disease and they have an extensive gluten free menu. I have never had a gluten reaction from here and love the food. We have tried many different items from the gf menu and have enjoyed all of them. My favorites are the sweet and sour chicken and the beef chow fun. You get a large portion for the price, we always get to take home left overs!“

“Golden ginger has been a favorite of ours since discovering it two years ago. We haven’t been disappointed with anything we’ve tried, but usually get the yellow chicken curry, a bento box, and a variety of sushi rolls. The portions are generous and our service has always been great!“

I would recommend ordering the the shrimp the the honey shrimp. That's a very good.

You got to order either rice or chow mein or half and half then depending on if you order the plate or some bowl or different sizes that depends how many entrees you can get one two, three, and some of the entrees cost extra will others don't cost extra and you get a fortune cookie.

They have a soda fountain. I think that you can use chopsticks. If you want to challenge yourself or regular utensils. If you want, they usually have like a wontons and egg rolls as extras a little bit pricey, but they're there if you want them.

If you plan on eating here more than once I'd recommend downloading the Panda Express app where you can get coupons as well as get points for you every time you buy food here so that you can get free food or discounts on future purchases.

They also have a drive-through. Sometimes the drive-thru and in person can be very crowded depending on location and time of day.

It's regular overpriced fast food. That's pretty tasty but not great for your body. There's not really any healthy options here.

If I think the price is where a little bit better, I'd give this like a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

“I honestly don't know why they have a 3.5 star. I go through the drive though 99% of the time but I always have a good experience, the food is always hot, they give me what I order and it's good. I enjoy the food which is alot to say for post the fast food chains around Layton. They also always give generous portions and I almost always struggle to finish it lol.“
