Amazing
I honestly thing Cafe Rio has started going downhill pretty badly. I used to prefer it to Costa Vida, but the private equity / corporate changes are evident. The food just sucks compared to how it used to be. This location is ok, I haven’t been impressed with the food for a while.
This Cafe Rio has the worst service by far from any other Cafe Rio I have been to. They are super slow, the food is cold by the time I get it. The garbages are always overflowing and the tables dirty. I much prefer the Costa Vida either over by Smith's Marketplace or the one west on the other side of the I-15 freeway.

The staff, like Padre, provides outstanding customer service, going above and beyond even right before closing. The general manager listens to feedback and ensures customers feel valued. Café Rio delivers satisfying modern Mexican cuisine, making it worth the drive.
