Rivas Mexican Grill #18 is recognized as one of the top Mexican chain restaurants in Utah, serving authentic food full of flavor with popular items like steak fries and the steak combo platter, known for their rich taste. The restaurant is often visited by customers who appreciate the large portions, especially the steak nachos. It also has a drive-thru, making it convenient for those with RVs or needing quick service. However, some guests feel the quality has declined recently, noting that the churros are not as good as they used to be, and specific requests often go unheard. Issues with certain dishes, like the chicken torta, have led to disappointment. Despite these concerns, the red and green sauces receive high praise, with the green sauce being very spicy and flavorful. Some customers find the to-go guacamole bland and quickly brown. Additionally, there have been minor inconveniences with the drive-thru credit card reader. Overall, Rivas Mexican Grill #18 remains a recommended spot for authentic Mexican cuisine, with hopes that the quality will improve back to its former standards.
