Entrees were pretty good. The drinks (alcoholic) however were way overpriced! My partner and I had one beverage each, which tasted pretty mediocre, and they cost more than our entrees did. $90 (including tip) for two entrees, two mixed drinks and one soda? Not worth it. I won't be going back.
We had a late lunch here. The sampler platter was great. Loved the onion rings and even the cheese curds were good ( coming from someone from Wisconsin) I had the pastrami burger, wife had the BBQ burger. Both were great. Will definitely go back to try the chicken.
Homecoming Southern Kitchen & Bar offers a hearty dining experience with generous portions. Traditional Southern dishes are served with flavor and flair. The friendly and professional staff strive to provide excellent service, though the service can be slow at times. The restaurant is worth trying, with a variety of traditional Southern foods on the menu. Some dishes may require a few tweaks, like adding fresh banana slices to the banana pudding. Despite the occasional wait, the staff's kindness and dedication make up for any delays.
The restaurant has received mixed reviews, with customers praising the entrees and sampler platter, but finding the drinks to be overpriced. The menu prices for shrimp/steak combo are comparable to fine dining restaurants, which some customers feel is too high for a standard 3-4 star atmosphere restaurant and bar. Overall, the restaurant provides an interesting experience, though some customers may not return due to the high prices.
