The SunTrapp Reviews
One of the few places around where EVERYONE is accepted and you can be your true self without anyone looking at you different! The staff and owner have always been great! I genuinely love this place

Based on the reviews, The SunTrapp is a bar in SLC that has undergone a management change and is now considered one of the best bars in the city. It is described as a social and inclusive spot with cheaper drinks, a fun atmosphere, and great DJs. The bartenders are generally super nice and great, and the drinks and shots are reasonably priced. The bar has a porch and is a great spot to meet new locals and get a fun fruity drink.
However, there are several issues. The staff, including some security guards, can be rude and unkind. One security guard was extremely unhelpful and showed no empathy when a customer was injured, making the bar feel less safe. The dance floor is extremely cramped, overpacked, and impossible to pass through, and the bathrooms always have a massive line with no privacy for the urinals. The tipping system is considered shady, with options starting at 25% and a custom tip being interpreted as 20 dollars. The bar is not accessible for anyone injured or disabled. On New Years Eve, the porch and dance floor were closed early. Despite these problems, many customers still support the workers union and continue to come back.
