“This was my first time visiting, and ordering was a bit difficult since everything was listed on paper with no pictures. It would be helpful to see what the dishes look like or have some recommendations, but none were provided, so I just guessed which rolls to try. I ordered from the 50% off menu — but if the items were full price, I probably wouldn’t have chosen them. It feels like the discount is mainly to bring people in, even though the prices are basically normal.
I also tried the ramen. I usually have bad experiences with ramen at other places, but it was actually pretty good here. The TNT roll and Air Force roll were also good, but I didn’t really enjoy the eel rolls. There was barely any eel inside and a lot of rice on the outside, including on the TNT and Air Force rolls. Visually, the rolls looked like mostly rice with only a small amount of filling.
I noticed the sushi chefs preparing food in view of guests, but they didn’t seem very welcoming — no smiles, just working through the shift. It would create a much better atmosphere if the chefs greeted customers or showed a bit more hospitality, especially since people come for their sushi, not just the servers.
Overall, the food wasn’t bad, the service was great, and the atmosphere was good as well.“
