“my family and I really enjoy Mr. Shabu. We have mainly been for the sushi, and have really liked it. The Playboy Roll, which is sort of my go to roll, I'm torn if they are number 1 or 2 when it comes to the place I like it the most. but we have enjoyed many other rolls their. but we also appreciate their wall of ramen which is great for my daughter who is trying to like more sushi, but isn't all the way there yet. it make it easy for her to still get a full dinner, but also try some sushi as well. Any ways, if your looking for some good sushi, give Mr. Shabu a try.“

“The ramen noodles had good chew and though I normally like tonkotsu I enjoyed the broth. The soy egg was cold in the middle though. Loved the Japanese curry, feels like I can’t find too many places that serve it let alone serve it well. The pork belly rice bowl was great and I really liked their house beer.“

“As always, food first. I'm usually disappointed in ramen (and most meals, in all honesty) from Utah, but I happened to be hungry and in the neighborhood so I figured I'd give Sukihana a shot.

Like most Japanese inspired restaurants, Sukihana is sushi forward, but nothing hits quite like sushi from Japan itself. It was a bit nippy and ramen broth is the perfect complement at all hours, so I ordered a side of miso soup and edamame alongside miso ramen.

Generous portions, although the miso soup was rather weak and rubbery, and the edamame as edamame as it comes, so I didn't have high expectations. The ramen, however, wasn't too shabby: simple, but flavorful. The char siu was seasoned well with a lovely char (hah) and did fall apart (as they should when cooked properly and as a quality cut). I also enjoyed the addition of corn and soft tofu, a rare treat. The ramen noodles didn't have much time to soak up the flavor from the broth but were nevertheless the right texture and appropriately chewy. The broth itself was much better than the miso soup--rich and layered if unbalanced in proportion to the other ingredients.

I ordered too much for my appetite, but liked the broth enough to take the leftovers. Yin was an excellent server and took the time to box up my take home right at the table; 2pm on a Tuesday is a very late lunch, after all.

“After a few visits, I believe that Junah is one of the best restaurants in Utah. The food is outstanding and creative. The glazed Maitake is one of the best things I’ve eaten. The front of the house is equally impressive and we have been impressed their service every visit. We hope they are around for many more years to come. Thank you to everyone at Junah!“

“We had a great experience here, we ordered the tempura shrimp and gyoza both were delicious. I ordered tonkatsu ramen and the noodles were perfect and the broth flavorful and chasu pork tender and full of flavor , my wife said her chicken yaki soba was excellent but will order extra radish next time. Our waitress was attentive and the service was fast pretty much a perfect experience“

“I love this place. They are essentially always open compared to other ramen places, so if I'm not in a fast food mood I can always count on them to be around past 10. Their udon is absolutely delicious. There's some hours where it's totally empty and easy to grab a hearty meal, and sometimes it's a bit more crowded, but they have never let me down. “I have been coming here since they've opened and love their food. However, I am very disheartened lately how their cook Olden (I believe is his name) treats the other staff. He tends to get overwhelmed by tickets or special requests. When I've experienced this happening he seems as though he gets stressed out. Then he lashes out on the other staff around him, especially the owner's mother who works the register. I've experienced this on multiple occasions and it's frustrating to see. I love this place but it's beginning to make me not want to come here due to how he treats others. I have kept my mouth closed for the experience of other customers in the building. However, your staff don't deserve this type of treatment and I will be standing up for them the next time this happens in front of me. I've kept my mouth shut long enough.“

“So so yummy , I don't think people know that you can order fresh made to order food here cause it's in Macy's supermarket but we got the twin peaks roll and it's so good and fresh and I'm so picky with sushi since growing up in California and finding a place with good sushi is hard in Utah we will definitely come back for the fresh made to order food .“

After 40 minutes with no one having come to take an order or even bring waters, we gave up and abandoned our table and ate elsewhere. I normally love you guys. I hope this was a one-off. He was nice, sweet and detailed about what I wanted. They didn't have any cold tea's and he made sure to get me a cup of ice with a straw. I also don't like cooked veggies, but he let me know he wasn't able to give me any of them unless they were cooked.

“This place rocks. There’s cover fee on just the weekends and it’s only $5, plus the atmosphere is amazing. They have board games, a pool table, a little patio, and really nice lighting. They don’t serve food but have great beer and cocktails. The service is great as well, especially Thomas, Jonah, and Vee. These guys have always been super kind and helpful when I come in!“
