“The Japanese lady it's kind and helpful, this place will give you a real taste on sushi and culture. Taking care also about fusion and international food.. strong taste, flavor.. best sushi In salt lake for now! Loved Maki RollsKid-friendliness: Sillas para niños, menú para niños nutritivoWheelchair accessibility: Rampas y acceso fácil al parking“
“I came here for the first time and the food tasted good. I ordered chicken with teriyaki shrimp and the soft chicken had a good flavor and the price was like anywhere else, not too expensive, not too cheap, and the service seemed friendly to the people.“
“Food was wonderful; service was fast, professional and the employees were kind and made it a point to smile...look like they didn't have to try hard, they were just those "Customer Service Oriented" kind of people. Love it.Again, customer service is a big part of my make or break reviews. Five stars to Osaka Japan food at the food court.“
“Went for pho, was really skeptical about trying it cause I love the place where I usually go but this pho was darn good so I definitely have a new place to have my phone and way closer to home, definitely a little hidden gem. I’ve tried the chicken teriyaki and fried rice here too and been delicious. And by the way great “
“I really enjoyed eating here. I’ve gone twice and thought the food was delicious and fresh, and you get a lot for the price vs. a lot of other places. I tried the salmon and the grilled chicken, both in the Tiff Salad. You can order the level of spice/heat, but I think I’ll go with none next time because they’re just adding different types of hot sauce to the meat and I’d prefer it grilled. The rice and veggies are so good with the meat, the Tiff salad is awesome. You can get the smaller size and have plenty of food for a dinner sized meal. I paid $12 for the small salad and I couldn’t finish it.“
“If you are looking for a high-end presentation and unbeatable quality, Do yourself a favor and come eat at this amazing restaurant. The inside of this shop is clean and charmingThe waitress was super nice and tended to us.I feel like I’ve found a hidden gem,This is my go-to sushi place in Murray! The only thing that I have to complain about is the parking lot, besides that everything was phenomenal.“
“When I say I love to come here I mean it. It's a bit expensive however it's definitely worth the money because of how fresh and good and delicious and all the options that you have not only for sushi but hot pot as well. I will admit the service is good however it could be better but with it getting so packed very quickly when it becomes a certain time in the night I understand. The environment is very trendy and very nice to be in I even like the small bar stools seating that they have for singles it's a very great vibe. They're waiting area is a little small for their impact audience but I'm glad they get you to put your number at the front so they text you so you don't have to wait in their small lobby. They don't take same-day reservations which is a little odd but I do understand what the capacity that they'd have This place is no means small however it's first come first served at walk-ins no same-day reservations do create complications. The first time I came here I had 10 sushi rolls That's me because I can just eat a lot but they have a very big variety of all you can eat sushi and that is usually what I go for every time I come here and every time it hits just right I highly recommend this place for birthdays and celebrations. The maximum you will spend here is $30 alone per person for all you can eat sushi plus tip. But that $30 price is not including tip. if you come here plan on spending money$$ But this place is expensive for a reason because their sushi is always fresh and the selections and variety that they have is really the bang for your bug highly highly recommend this place.“
“This place was delicious! It cost us 33 dollars per person and we were nervous about the price at first but it includes everything! We got chicken wings, edamame, egg rolls, chicken gyoza, wagyu beef, shrimp, fish, calamari, noodles, corn, broccoli, sushi, and more. If you're celebrating or just super hungry you just come here.“
“Nami has a great variety of sushi rolls and entrees. I went here with 6 friends we split 6 rolls and 2 appetizers. It was delicious and the food came out fast. I loved the San Francisco roll.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian rolls, appetizers, and entrees here.Parking: Standard strip mall parkingWheelchair accessibility: No steps with single standard size business door.“
“WOW WOW WOW is all I have to say! (Just kidding, I have a lot more than that as I always do, hahaha). In a singular visit, this has easily become one of my favorite sushi places in the Salt Lake valley. I have been wanting to try Ika sushi for a while now and finally had the opportunity to do so last week. From the outside, it is very unassuming and tucked away within the Riverwalk Shopping Center. The interior of the restaurant is not huge, so while my friends and I were over the course of our for dinner, it filled fairly quickly. I have visited multiple restaurants that were in this specific storefront location that haven't stayed (a poke place, teriyaki, and more), and I HOPE so badly that Ika thrives here because the quality of their sushi was exceptional. One of my friends ordered the Brussel Sprouts which I had the opportunity to try a bite of. To be honest, my first instinct in a sushi place would not be to order Brussel sprouts, but I am so glad my friend did! They are cooked in a citrus white miso sauce and that flavor of the sauce absolutely transforms this dish! Very flavorful!Moving to the sushi, I ordered some Hamachi nigiri and based on my research from other reviews, I really wanted to try out the Twist & Shout roll. When I tell you that the Hamachi nigiri had one of the best quality pieces of raw fish I have ever had, I mean it! Beyond the flavor alone, biting into this piece of Hamachi and through to the rice was like slicing through a soft stick of butter - the texture was perfect! I was almost shocked. To continue to on to the Twist & Shout roll, I cannot express enough that this roll is a MUST try. If you are like me and love a good spicy sushi roll, and this one has the perfect balance of spice. With the chili oil and fresh jalapenos, you have such a nice level of heat that balances so well with the rest of the roll. Also, the addition of the garlic chips adds a nice crunch to each bite without it taking away from the overall texture of the sushi. To end my review, I ask one thing from people who live in this area - please help Ika do well and visit! It is so refreshing to find restaurants in this area that aren't part of a chain, and I want it to succeed so I can keep coming here and not have to go downtown for great sushi!“
“Lived all over the world and this is without question the best sushi EVER. Creative in the way he layers multiple flavors, taking you on a journey with every bite. It’s otherworldly. Wednesday evening- line out the door and 45 min wait. Well deserved success and SO worth the wait! Takashi is a culinary genius, this is NOT an embellishment.“
“I had never heard of this place and was excited to try it out. It’s a beautiful restaurant on the inside, very nicely decorated. Each table has its own space and there were some larger rooms for bigger groups. The staff were incredible. They’re driving the 5-stars as the food was decent, but nothing too impressive. The egg drop soup was hot but lacked any kind of flavor. The edamame needed to be steamed for a few more minutes as half were still cold and very few popped open very well. The sushi rolls were pretty solid. Nothing glaringly wrong with them and we ate all of the rolls we ordered. The kung pao chicken was very salty, borderline inedible. The fried rice with it was delicious as were the gyoza and the egg roll.“
“I was looking for a bite on a Thursday night and showed up to this place in my car. To my delight, it was an incredibly low key operation with an amazing smell coming from the kitchen. This place is the BEST. The food is sublime and the folks running it are the absolute nicest people. I had the pork bowl, gyoza, and a milk bubble tea w/light sugar and it was incredible - great value and healthy too! Will definitely be ordering from here again!“
“I frequent this local spot for consistently delicious food, with health options, and at a great price. I decided to dine-in to enjoy the chill environment today and Patrick, the chef, was kind, and did a great job. If you’re looking for delicious food, quickly, without it being fast food, I highly recommend a visit. :)“
“This is my second time at this location and our dinner was just perfect, from the hostess who greeted us and gave us a very nice table to our waitress who was very attentive and helpful with our selections and make sure we have Champagne and cocktails thought out our dinner. We will be back.“
“I love it here. I wanted to try something different somewhere different and found this and boy am I so dang glad I did. The food here is DELICIOUS. I'm leaving this review after the second time coming back to this restaurant and I want to come twice a month now ?. The service??? Awesome. Very polite, very quick, very friendly. The decor? Adorable. My hubby and I spend about 50-60$ but mind you, that's two people together. We share an appetizer, we get our own sushi rolls and our own main dish plus drinks. (We like the eat). I recommend this place anyday. Definitely worth your money“
“Bar Nohm is a hidden gem. My friends and I tried this place for the first time last week - one of them is visiting from DC and the other from NYC, and are real foodies - and we all loved this place. First, the ambience is excellent. warm, cozy, and comfortable, with a little hidden area by the kitchens that blocks out all the sound from the busy bar area. The colors and textures of the decor are upscale with playful details. Second, the cocktails are super fun and inventive. Third, the food is phenomenal with lots of interesting flavors and textures that provide a fun experience for anyone from the most adventurous eater to the most cautious. I highly recommend!“
“The drinks are amazing and so is the food, the atmosphere and music/dj is amazing.I’ve been a couple times when it’s kinda busy it’s fine but the second the bar is kinda full the bar get overwhelmed and it takes 30 mins to get anything including closing out.“
“ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLY GREAT! Hands down the best sushi I've ever had. I'd rank this right next to any sushi in SFO, NYC or DC. Pretty crazy to think amazing sushi could be in Utah, but I'm telling you, it is incredibly good.“
“This place is one of the better ramen shops in Utah. The noodles are the right texture, the broth is rich and as far as I know, the only place I have seen tsukemen at. The only downside is the price. I can't help but to compare it to prices in Japan (I know it's not fair. But you can get an amazing bowl of ramen for 5$). Either way I see myself coming back.“
“One of my all time favorite restaurants! Bonsai is the place our family goes for special occasions and celebrate special achievements! The service is always great and the food is amazing. The portions are big so I always leave feeling full!“
“Mario's humble demeanor & attention to detail go without saying...And sue chef, Sam, indulged us with flavorful and creatively delicious palette designs.Point being, the delicious drinks ?, aesthetically pleasing food, atmosphere, ambiance and high quality service are why we come back.Would make for a grrrreat date night or celebration gathering location.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available“
“Really fresh and delicious sashimi! But the portion is very small and the service can be improved. We had their large sashimi platter and it was not much. It consisted of 20 small pieces of sashimis: regular salmon, king salmon, escolar, tuna, yellowtail each 4 pieces. Delicious takoyaki and unagi maki is “
“Really nice place. Appropriate volume inside. We ordered an appetizer-skewer trio. Very delicious but personally i could taste the wooden skewers just a bit. Then we ordered crispy style sushi- spicy tuna with scallions and crunchy shallots. Pretty delicious! Rice was fried perfectly. I've had this at jinyas before and it was very oily. But this one was perfect. I'm just not sure the texture of the rice is my personal favorite. I would order again if I was with someone who's never had it like my mom or a friend.Secondly we had a tempura fried roll- DTH roll. P good. Not enough texture. Missing a veggie in this one. Would like to try a different roll next time.Husband got the dinner combination plate- tacos and steak. And chicken wings! Delicious“
“We went just after they opened. The nigirii was good. The rolls were fine and pretty normal for sushi here in Salt Lake City. What was excellent was the fish. Our server let us know that the fish was delivered that day just before they opened. The blue fin tuna was top-notch and melted in your mouth. I would go back just for that! We also had the plum tea that was refreshing perfect warm sweet and sour flavors. Sadly, the food was so good that I didn't get a chance to take pictures. ? in this case, no pictures are a compliment.“
“The ramen soup is delicious, although they serve you less than the ones at One noddle, but it is good... The downside is that the menu has no price on many of the things it offers.... The good thing is that they always have beer and sake....“
“This is a Sushi and a Thai restaurant. We love Thai food and we wanted to try this out. Food is great and tasty. Mango sticky rice desert is our favorite here. That said ambience is okay and mainly pricing is a bit higher than the quantity they give when you compare it with other Thai restaurants around. Service was great though it's a bit slower.“
“I've been here 3 or 4 times now, and this is a 5-star place. If you don't think so, you're setting your expectations too high and you can go eat somewhere for 2-3x as much instead. Staff is friendly, food is good, and the best value for sushi you can get. I recommend this place, deserving of 5 stars imo.“
“Love it when they have their 50% off sushi in the winter, literally a steal!! Their sushis are so good!! It’s also a Korean bbq where you cook your food which seems very popular but we’re here for sushis and sushi only!! Ohh their gyoza is so bomb ?“
“They're looking really good in here. They did some remodeling. I've been here many times especially for lunch and I would like to just share with everybody to stop by here and try it out. The sushi is fresh and delicious and moderately priced! You cannot find sashimi this thick at Tsunami or any other sushi place that I've been to in Salt Lake City valley. The only downside is they offer either tuna or salmon. They don't have other raw fish options however, I am hopeful they will add yellowtail one day!Lee's is in Sandy Plenty of free parking. Friendly service!“
“Located in downtown SLC, this casual dine in restaurant offers self service. You order at the counter off the simple menu that offers combo plates which includes rice and appetizer. The portion size is huge as they overfill the to go box, and the flavor of their curry it's so tasty with the right amount of spice to give a kick. Best of all is their pricing that's so affordable. If you're looking for a quick bite with no frills & want authentic tasting Thai food, come here!“
“I really like this restaurant. The food is great, the staff is courteous, and the dining area is really cool. There are several locations you can end up, but the courtyard is the coolest. It's a really relaxing site unlike other restaurants. The food is excellent. I've yet to order something I don't like. The sushi is really good. They do use Sriracha as a garnish; you've been warned. The prices have gone up over the last few years but who's haven'tDefinitely, try it out, you won't been disappointedVegetarian options: Several vegetarian sushi options, all of which look good“
“I ordered through DoorDash for the first time and I liked it. I especially enjoyed their Yang Chow fried rice, one of my fave comfort foods. It was so good- huge serving too! I also liked the xiao long bao dumpling and the takoyaki. Too bad they forgot to send the Tiramisu. Anyway, it was a great first experience with their dishes so I’m looking forward to trying some more in the future. Keep it up! ??“
“my first time here and i highly recommend this place the steak and shrimp were awesome , the guy in charge modesto is a good man , very knowledgeable and friendly person, and jessica was very kind and helpful whit my order , thanks guys food was delicious and decent price .“
“Kyoto as wonderful! It was our first visit and we will definitely go again! The flavors were incredible, the staff was lovely, the sushi chef was fantastic. I can’t wait for our next visit. The food was so fresh and delicious! We got the lobster sushi roll, unagi, miso, steak plate, pickled vegetables and tempura. All were amazing!“
“'TLDR' Go here with friends and have yakitori, the wagyu beef onion is a must' I have been in a few times since they first opened and tried the sashimi, nigiri, sushi rolls, and ramen and really liked them all. This is a fine spot that really delivers on the sushi, the fish is fresh and the cuts are nice. The ramen broth is good and flavorful and a nice big bowl to boot. I really like the decor and overall vibe of this place. It feels a lot more expensive than it is. It's the perfect place to go after work and have a few drinks and some food with friends, colleagues, or a date. I know some people have bagged on the service here, but I have never had a bad encounter. They are attentive and never rude. They aren't overly fake and nice so maybe the bluntness and efficiency isn't what those people wanted. But the real reason I love this place and will keep coming back is simple...Yakitori! I have been looking for a spot in salt lake to deliver on the yakitori (small plate skewers) that I had when in Japan. This place does it well and at reasonable prices. Most of the yakitori is $3-$5 bucks which is a steal for what you get. The most expensive is the wagyu beef onion. It's about double the cost of the others but it is one the most simple delicious things you can buy. The beef is so buttery and moist and the flavor doesn't overpower the actual flavor of the beef itself. I dream about this stuff. I just pops into the back of my mind when I feel even a little bit hungry. I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. It is sooo amazing. They also have a great selection for one of a kind house cocktails that don't disappoint, like the Oriental Caipiroska and the Tokyo Sour. They have a nice selection of Japanese liquor and beer, but sadly no hot sake. Overall this is becoming my favorite restaurant in salt lake. I'm stopping in if I just want a light snack and drink or if I'm desiring a full meal. I definitely suggest checking this place out. The only downside is that they don't have their own parking and the are opposite the elevator for the underground parking garage. But you'll probably appreciate the walk back to the car after you've had your fill here.“
“Our favorite place for a date night that doesn’t break the bank. Yet it’s not a divey hole-in-the-wall place either. Great atmosphere, super nice employees and best sushi you can get for the price! Great apps, sushi, and noodles. Can’t go wrong here!“
“I love this place! I go at lunch and we are immediately seated. The food is fantastic. I love that I have the choice of sushi and/or Ramen. Their chicken katsu curry Ramen and their Kimchi Ramen are amazing! We needed a good Ramen house closer to us, and here it is. Others in the area aren't as good.“
“Stop looking for other sushi restaurants, you've found it. This is one of the more impressive sushi restaurants I've been to in Utah. My wife (who is not a sushi person) loved it as well. All elements of the sushi and nigiri that we ordered exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come here again.“
“Probably one the better restaurants around the area, I love the jalapeno poppers, they are packed full of tuna and has that sushi taste to them. The fried rice tastes and looks like homemade fried rice, if it weren't for the bbq beef I ordered along with it, it tastes kind of plain. I plan to come back to get sushi instead next time.“
“PSA: I AM NOT TAKE PICTURES OF MY FOOD GUYHowever. We've been coming to Soy for a number of years. We are always pleased with the food, drink, and service.Today was simply over the top. This food was delicious and beautiful, our servers and chefs were accommodating and helpful. My lady and I will be proud patrons of this establishment for years to comeVegetarian options: Figure it outDietary restrictions: Figure it outParking: Figure it outKid-friendliness: YepWheelchair accessibility: Sure“
“The teriyaki chicken, rice, and broccoli was great. Saw them and glade I came need something for lunch because the university of Utah is good desert. For 14.00 dollars wasn't a bad price. They give you a lot of food too. They get my Two. ??“
“Oh my goodness, this place was great! Best sushi we’ve had in a while. Parking was easy, didn’t need a reservation, seemed really clean. The service was great, too, and everything was quick, but cooked great. Chicken was super tender. Sake was strong but easy to drink. Definitely recommend trying this place if you haven’t!“
“Hole in the wall and so good! Have a sushi burrito craving? This is the place! The staff are nice and the food was made quickly and was very fresh and absolutely delicious.Must try:Phoenix sushi burritoFire Island sushi burritoCream cheese wontonsThe seating is cute and goes with their vibe. We sat and tried a few items on the menu. Great location!“
“I’ve been wanting to come here for a while, and it did not disappoint! Both ramens we ordered were amazing (Tonkatsu & Kimchi), and the Chili Beef Dumplings were even better. I definitely plan on coming back to try their other dishes.“
“We always enjoy going to Tsunami for amazing sushi, and delicious sides. we usually get the hot mamba and vegetable tempura, plus a couple of others, such as salmon teriyaki skewers, miso soup, and something tropical are some of our favorites. The quality food is matched with quality service, and it is why we continue coming back. Good job, team Tsunami!“
“I don't normally leave reviews for restaurants but this place was so good I just had to! The food was amazing and so was the service, just perfect. There's a strong fish smell though but that didn't bother me too long after a while“
