“Went there for the first time tonight with my husband! We will defiantly be back. Got fried calamari with 2 burritos one being the sumo California which is fried. Totally worth it! Plus it’s literally right down the street from my apartment. This will be a new favorite place for us“

“Tokai Sushi was SO GOOD! As soon as my friends and I walked in, a waiter greeted us and got us seated. The environment seemed really friendly and the lanterns gave it a cool ambience type of feel. We actually went twice, so I’m kind of smooshing it all into one review (lol). I don’t remember exactly what we all got, but I ordered the Kimchi soup the first time (I don’t recommend, I couldn’t handle the taste) but the second time I got the (miso or the third one down?) soup and it was REALLY good. We ordered a bunch of different sushi, I think I got an eel avocado roll, Playboy, and Las Vegas - the last two were really good and I loved the flavors. But tbh you can’t go wrong with any of the sushi. So yeah, would highly recommend.“

The staff was sweet, prompt, and helpful, and the owner (Lily) was personable and caring. We will definitely be returning for many more date nights to come! We each ordered the tonkatsu ramen and we shared the Texas roll. We have now visited twice in one week to try more sushi, and it was great!“

“The ramen is decent. It won’t knock your socks off, at least if you have been lucky enough to savor ramen in some of the other great cities of the country. The broth did not have that heavy creaminess that I associate with Tonkotsu, and I was not a fan of the pretty sweet mushroom button. But it was more than serviceable and certainly satisfied the craving I had for ramen on that Saturday morning.

Similarly, the gyoza was tasty enough, but not really fried properly and the “skin” was so soft it was kind of tearing apart.“

“It is spacious and ADA friendly. It smells so delicious upon entry. Hugh (sp?) the host was very kind and hospitable. And patient (it took a while for us to figure out what we wanted). Foo (sp?) was an awesome chef! He gave us the tricks but also shared dialogue with us. Very humble and personable, and the food….my husband is picky and he agreed that it was exceptional. Perfectly cooked NY Strip steak, shrimp, yakitori, salad, soup, and salmon (we are from Alaska and they did this little piece of salmon justice ❤️). And Sam the other host was also very hospitable and checked on us. They don’t skip a beat when they saw us roll in with our wheelchair. And other employees were checking on us too. Love this place!!

“I enjoyed my first time experience at Sweet Teriyaki. The look of restaurant is so modern, clean and welcoming. I ordered House special (Chicken, beef and shrimp teriyaki)......so yummy! The portion is huge! I can't wait for their new Thai menu!!!?

“Been coming here for years and it has maintained consistency. Eat at South Jordan locations 2-4 x’s a month. Whether it is a casual dinner, business lunch with partners or takeout it’s always great. A top favorite and always requested from those visiting from out of state with most coming from big coastal cities (they all say it’s better than their $$$$ places back home). Only minor gripe is online order for takeout and text communications is a little clunky. Hope they refine and make improvements.“

“I have been coming here since they've opened and love their food. However, I am very disheartened lately how their cook Olden (I believe is his name) treats the other staff. He tends to get overwhelmed by tickets or special requests. When I've experienced this happening he seems as though he gets stressed out. Then he lashes out on the other staff around him, especially the owner's mother who works the register. I've experienced this on multiple occasions and it's frustrating to see. I love this place but it's beginning to make me not want to come here due to how he treats others. I have kept my mouth closed for the experience of other customers in the building. However, your staff don't deserve this type of treatment and I will be standing up for them the next time this happens in front of me. I've kept my mouth shut long enough.“

“I love Tsunami. It literally is the only sushi place I trust in Utah. I was excited to find out my 9th and 9th location is open on Sundays. They have a new espresso martini that is perfect and Alex the manager is great at making sure customers are satisfied and my server Charlie was very attentive!! But they wanted a tip to order from the counter, seat ourselves get out food from the counter when it was ready, and clean up after ourselves. No atmosphere , just a chow hall. #notipfornoservice“
