“I was actually blown away by this place. I’m a huge sushi fan and have had sushi at a lot of other places , and this one is one of the best I’ve ever had! I will definitely be back. The staff was super friendly as well and when I asked for a side of spicy mayo, they gave me 2 and didn’t charge extra for it like most other places do.“

“This place was exceptional. We used to go to Sobo fairly regularly which occupied this same space before Hamachi. We were in the area and gave this place a try and SO glad we did. Every single roll was fantastic! The service was great, the interior is updated and far more fitting of a sushi spot and just the entire visit was 5 star. A little on the spendy side with some rolls hitting over $18 but highly recommended!“

Free gyoza 5/5 for the table.The Bibimbap 5/5 is the star very flavorful and fresh.Galbi 3.5/5 had good flavor and fatty but the beef was very chewy and we expected it to melt in your mouth since it’s short rib. We actually wished the meat was slightly more charred too.Soon beef tofu soup 3/5 had no flavor we even asked for extra spicy and it was not spicy so we added alot of the red sauce in it and added kimchi and it tasted better.Oh roll 4/5 a really good shrimp tempura salmon sushi roll highly recommendService was good, restaurant clean and the ambiance was cute even though it was in a business building. “They're looking really good in here. They did some remodeling. I've been here many times especially for lunch and I would like to just share with everybody to stop by here and try it out. The sushi is fresh and delicious and moderately priced! You cannot find sashimi this thick at Tsunami or any other sushi place that I've been to in Salt Lake City valley. The only downside is they offer either tuna or salmon. They don't have other raw fish options however, I am hopeful they will add yellowtail one day!Lee's is in Sandy Plenty of free parking. “I've been to Tsunami a few times but only for lunch with coworkers. This was my first time going on a dinner date on a friday night and it absolutely held up. We sat at the bar and ate way too much sushi. Loved every bite. It's fun to sit at the bar because we get to sit next to each other and it's fun to chat with the sushi chefs, who also happen to give excellent recommendations. I must insist that you try the Graffiti Roll. I'm not sure how much it is or if it's even on the menu, but it's large and delicious.“

“My wife had the tempura seafood I had a salmon bento box. It was really a nice lunch that was value for money. The place got slammed with a lot of tables in a short time I think there was only once server and she really did a fantastic job. Filled waters checked on everybody and never stopped moving the 5 star review is for her and for a nice restaurant after having a bad experience a few minutes before. “This franchise is good, and I generally enjoy the food better than BH. The staff here are amazing and good with kids. I hadn't been to this establishment for probably a year. So i decided to try it out again. And yeah, they changed the recipe of the fried rice and the soup is mid as well. I don't like to overdo salt but they don't put nearly enough. But all three of us were able to catch shrimp. I believed they were closing soon like an hour or two. We waited for 30 minutes to be seated when the lobby was kind of empty.I noticed that although the chef was a master in his own right, he was being stingy with certain shareables that usually happens every time before, and didn't do the onion volcano.I also felt rushed like I wasn't done with my second bite when I noticed the bill was sitting on my right. No ice cream served at the end like like usual. A friend of mine that I haven't seen in 25+ years last minute invited his friend he was staying with and had never been to the place before even though he lived 3-4 miles from the place. “I enjoy this restaurant, but my main complaint is this: The Chef has no idea how to cook a steak. I've been here 4 times, and it's tasty food every time. However, I'm not a big fan of seafood, so I typically order the Sakana Steak. I always order it medium rare, and it comes to me well done every time. I sent it back once and it came back even more overcooked with the outside burnt. The sauce is a good redeeming quality, their teriyaki is great. The salmon, also great. The prices aren't cheap so when I get a dry and overcooked steak, it makes me sad. My girlfriend and her family love the sushi, they have a live sushi chef making fresh rolls as they're ordered. Salads and soups are good. Alcohol choice is also good. Just don't order a steak.Vegetarian options: Girlfriend's Father is vegan and can always find something he enjoys thoroughly. Personally I don't care for the vegan/vegetarian options but he never complains.Kid-friendliness: While they don't have a very expansive choice for children, if your kids like sushi, they're covered. There's a ton of choices and they can be made individually with changes to the order.“
