“This place was AWESOME! Best sweet tea I’ve ever had! Their fries are AMAZING! Our family got chicken tenders, brisket, a steak, wings and the fish and every single thing was just incredible. No complaints at ALL! Our waitress Allison was attentive and sweet and they were packed! Definitely a 10/10! Definitely recommend!“

“This place is incredible. The atmosphere is slightly speak-easy-esque. The staff is knowledgeable, engaging, and truly seems to care about the customers’ experience. We came here after getting married earlier today and passing through Harrisonburg on our way to our destination. We needed dinner and it was THE RIGHT PICK. Michael, our server, and Steph, a manager or a GM equivalent, were seriously the BOMB. Soo accommodating and kind, and cared about our evening. The spicy Marg … insanely satisfying. CRAZY kick of flavor without the straight burn of something that’s spicy just to BE the spiciest. The tincture that makes it spicy is made in house. Amazing! And the spicy burger … also incredible. “I had called at 5:30pm for a party of 12 at 6pm. When we did arrive, and we ended up waiting for probably about 40 plus minutes. Two other large parties had gotten ahead of us. Miss Marie was super nice and seated us as quickly as she possibly could. In order to reward us for our patients, she provided for appetizers free of charge which arrived as soon as we got seated. She definitely went above and beyond! Our wait server, Johnny, was truly outstanding. He took care of our very large party with Incredible service and attention. He was friendly and made my birthday very special. On top of the four free appetizers, I was sort of delicious strawberry shortcake and given a coupon for a free appetizer on my next visit. I don't know of any other restaurant that would have gone this far above and beyond.“

“Nice lunch experience here. The food was delicious, service was good. I went there with both of my parents with walkers, they have easy accessibility. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms.
Parking: Nice parking lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: Went in with two people with walkers. They had no problem in the restaurant.“

“Dec. 2023, we had our worse restaurant experience ever. My past review still shows here. After my review, we got a call from Applebee's asking us to give them another chance. I said no way because that visit had been us giving them a second chance. Eventually they offered us a large enough gift card that I took it. We just got around to using it and everything was good. Seated right away, service was excellent, low volume music was enjoyable, food came out quickly, and the food tasted good. We will be going back.“
“This Steak 'n Shake is located on James Madison University Campus in the D-Hall building. The menu is limited, but it has the essential Steak 'n Shake items - burgers, chicken strips, and milkshakes! Prices are about the same as a traditional location. For non-campus members, visiting may be hard due to parking restrictions.“

“Adam Caldwell was a wonderful waiter. I had my entire family with my tonight and at one point in the night my child was crying. Adam Caldwell brought out a pack and play and sang my baby to sleep with a lullaby. After this, he offered me a free oil change and tire rotation as he held my hand out to my car. I would highly recommend eating at this establishment, as long as you ask for Adam Caldwell.“
