“Looking for one of the best places in Edinburg to eat lunch or breakfast look no further. Weather treating important business partners or eating alone Britney and Katie are always the best and one of the reasons we come. Great value and well homemade cooked food. Thanks for keeping my staff and I going. Energy Windows “
“I have been to patty’s place several times over the years but have never left a review. My family and I went this morning for breakfast while we were passing through the area and I had ordered the sausage gravy biscuit. I was amazed with how wonderful it was. I even told patty herself that at other establishments I get sausage gravy I have to add salt and pepper. I took 1 bite of hers and I told my wife that it was perfect. I did not have to add anything to it. I can not wait to go back that direction to order this again. My wife and son both got the ribeye for breakfast and very pleased as well.“
“When we travel, my husband and I like to eat at mom 'n pop restaurants along our way. Ben's Diner did not disappoint. The food, service, and cost were all very pleasing. I thought the fried chicken was exceptional. My husband liked his liver and onions. We would go again if the opportunity arises.“
“When dining in at Springhouse the food is always good. The issue comes with doing take out. It is a shot in the dark to get take out from Springhouse. Tonight I ordered Mozzarella sticks, a tavern ribeye with Mac and cheese and after spending 10 minutes on the phone, with someone who it seemed had never taken an order before, they still got it wrong. I arrived before the alloted time and waited so I could get the food as hot as possible. It was still lukewarm and wrong. The steak was overcooked and the Mac and cheese was wrong. My other issue is that there is no seasoning, I mean NONE. The steak had no salt or pepper and the pasta for the Mac and cheese was so bland that it actually made the entire dish bland. I f someone could tell the cooks to salt the pasta water and use some salt and pepper on the steaks that would be great. I'm tired of paying for food my dogs eat more of than I do.“
“Dined in recently with my husband and had an excellent experience! Our server was super friendly and helpful, the manager stopped by to check in and the food was delicious! The store was super clean, all the employees were friendly and very welcoming!!“
“This legendary restaurant - Blue Wing Frog- moved to Strasburg last year, and what a gain for Strasburg! We were there for a special occasion and met our friend there. Every piece of food that went into my mouth was heavenly- We ordered potato pancakes and grilled shrimp for appetizers, and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich on home made bread and a side salad. For our special occasion desert we shared a gigantic piece of home made carrot cake. The potato pancakes were sublime and well seasoned, the grilled shrimp, a house specialty, was absolutely perfect and nicely seasoned and served hot. The grilled cheese was on thick slices of freshly baked slightly sweet bread and grilled to perfection with a melty middle. Even the fruit on the side was perfect- fresh and cold ripe kiwi slices, fresh orange slices and a plump red ripe strawberry. The side salad of all fresh ingredients was served very cold with the perfect spring blend of lettuce, kale, and spinach and cucumber and cherry tomatoes. But the vinaigrette dressing elevated the salad to the stratosphere. Again, it was cold, fresh, high quality oil and vinegar ( and maybe lemon???) and herbs where the fennel stood out as a lavendery luscious overtone. We finished our repast with a celebratory huge slice of home made carrot cake we shared which WAS TO DIE FOR, and I could have eaten the not overly sweet cream cheese frosting like a bowl of ice cream just by itself with carrot cake topping! I had hot herbal tea served in a generously large glass mug too. The actual carrot cake was moist, had a nice mixture of carrots and fried fruit and all of the proper spices to just satisfy a sophisticated sweet tooth! I look forward to eating my way through the Blue Wing Frog menu! What a treat! The service will improve when the town steps up to support this gem and when tourists get steered there by the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism officials, and then the profit margin from increased customer base will allow the team to hire wait staff in the front of the house. Support Blue Wing Frog Strasburg and Valley peeps!! We West Virginians will come as often as we can!Vegetarian options: If you like well-seasoned veggies served at the proper temperature you’ll love the food!“
“Had a pretty good experience here. Nothing totally mind blowing. If I could give one avenue of advice I would say maybe up date the dinnerware. The plates and silverware look like something you would get at a buffet restaurant. The food would present a lot better on square plates or something to that nature. And I thought the use of plastic souffle cups for sides and stuff was a little un-elegant for the price you're paying for the meal. And on top of that it's not very environmentally conscious. Also for serving locally sourced produce. You would think that they would have an extensive local wine list.“
“Went here on a Saturday lunch. The place was busy, and all tables were practically taken. After we ordered, we cleaned off our own tables from people leftover dishes and had a seat. The staff was nice and the sandwiches were great! Taco soup was lacking.Plenty of potential here, but during busy times, there needs to be a better system to keep the tables clean, napkins stocked, trash bins empty, and even a free water dispenser for people to self serve.“
