“We have stayed at the Wayside Inn several times over the past 17 years and this past weekend we were amazed at the improvements made. The atmosphere was great, the new dining situation was MUCH improved and the food fantastic. Staff was wonderful. The only drawback was that the air conditioner in our room, the Middletown, was a bit noisy. It woke us up occasionally.“

“Arrived mid-afternoon and found it easy to set up our Fifth wheel. Once settled we strolled into the brewery where David welcomed us. The beer choices were great and we enjoyed our burgers for dinner. It was our first Harvest Host experience and it did not disappoint.“

We were greeted by Avery with a smile and two complimentary glasses of champagne. She provided excellent service which was very accommodating. The entrees were out of this world delicious. I was especially impressed by the filet. I'm INCREDIBLY sensitive to red meat and usually eat a steak knowing my stomach will make me pay for it later unless it's specifically grass fed and grass finished or sometimes I can do grain finished. I went into the meal assuming I'd have to deal with my issues afterwards. at first bite I didn't care how much I had to pay with my body later, it was WORTH IT and then to my shock - I HAD NO ISSUES. the staff were friendly, and attentive. “We stopped at Longhorn Steakhouse after a show at Shenandoah Summer Theater. We went as a group. Longhorn handled or group magnificently. We were seated promptly (of course, we had reserved seats) and or good was served quickly. And, as usual, of food was properly prepared and warm. Drinks were quickly served and topped off appropriately.

“Our experience was 5 out of 5. This brand is always consistent and dependable. No surprises. Comfortable , clean rooms, nice amenities and easy check in. We had dinner in the restaurant and Izzy was our server. She was so attentive and pleasant it made our experience really enjoyable. We were the only diners and saw many people leaving the hotel at dinner time. No doubt for wonderful restaurants but I suggest they try what the hotel has to offer. Steaks were excellent, vegetables and potatoes cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Thoroughly enjoyed this property.“
