“21 years after holding our wedding reception at the Wayside, we returned in Feb 2024 to hold a big birthday brunch. We were pleased in every possible way; from management to staff to setup to food, to facility and to prices charged, we could not have been mote satisfied. I think it very telling that the Wayside has a rating over 8 on a popular travel site while a nearby chain hotel that charges nearly twice as much for a room has a rating of only 4. I will go return to the Wayside for my next special event!“

“Beautiful October 1st day to get out and explore.I stopped in here looking to enjoy some good drink and conversation and received both.The bartender hooked me up on his recommendations out of a nice selection that were all self made in house.Everyone were enjoying themselves and were great to be around and talk to.People were sitting in and out and one fellah had his two friendly dogs with him.A nice place out in the country to be … try it out.“

“Cute, little place to grab a bite. There's quite a number of unique grilled cheese sandwiches, in addition to breakfast items and other sandwiches. I was debating what to get and settled on giving the Pre-Game hot dog a try. It was a chili and beer cheese dog on a pretzel roll/bun. I did not anticipate the size. Now it's a messy one, but it was big. The chili wasn't any pre-made one I was familiar with (not sure if it's homemade or bought) and the beer cheese was unique. The pretzel bun was quite nice. I had a side of the "roasted" red potatoes. They're seasoned wedges of potato, though I couldn't tell if they were roasted or fried. Either way, they were a good option.“

“This is the place to be in Front Royal! The rotating in-house brewed beers are flavorful, and are just one of the reasons we come back here week after week. The food is delicious, we highly recommended the burgers and the cheesecake. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, especially Maddie, and they know their stuff. “My friend recently visited from Australia, and I was determined to show her the best of Winchester. Valerie Hill Vineyard did not disappoint! It was her favorite part of Winchester and one of the highlights of her entire trip around the U.S.From the moment we drove up we were taken aback by the beauty of the estate. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting (even on the chilly day), and the beautiful surroundings added to the overall experience. Beyond the delicious food and wine, the service was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly, making us feel right at home. He took the time to answer our questions and guide us through the wine list, ensuring we had a truly memorable experience. “I came here today for the first time with my husband. As soon as you walk in you can smell the sweet baked goods in the air ?. The owners are lovely and friendly. Everything looked so delicious ?. I was even surprised they had baked goods made with Tim Smith's moonshine. I love watching Moonshiners and of course had to get the Apple Blossom Moonshine cake. We walked out of there with a bag full of goodies. The Joe Tea Mango flavor was a great suggestion from the owners. My husband loved the iced tea far better than any other brand he's tried. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you both for being so welcoming and helpful ?“

“I honestly give this place a 3.8/5The ice cream is pretty good and is worth eating. Some of the food like funnel cakes and sliders are very greasy.The food here is kind of similar to something you might find at a fair or carnival.This place can sometimes be pretty busy to shop at. Deep fried pickles and Vanilla ice cream with strawberry and cheesecake bites are some more recommendable food items.“

“This was our first trip, to check these guys out.We had the Nachos for an app, and they were fantastic. For 2 people I’d go with the small order.I had the Fish and chips and it was right on point. The better half had the bacon and arugula flat bread pizza and loved it.I had a pint of beer and it was good. I’m a Bud light guy so my opinion on beers shouldn’t count. Karen had the blue berry lemonade cider and it was really good.The service was fantastic and the place was very clean, to include the bathrooms.We will definitely be back to try some of those award winning wings that we heard so much about and have some more of that beer cheese.“

“We came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Space was light filled, high ceilings, calm and cute decor. They swiftly accommodated large group of 11. Service was kind and quick. Food was ample, fresh and flavorful. I found a fine range of menu items for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free friendly eaters. We enjoyed the crispy duck- great texture and spice, We got the stir fry ginger with tofu, pineapple fried rice with chicken, crispy duck, drunken noodles . Our water glasses always filled. To note, a large group, tip was added automatically however there was still a section on the receipt to add, was a bit deceptive.“

“We had an outstanding experience here. We brought together a small family group for a wine tasting. Kelly went out of her way to make sure that each of us had a great time tasting the various wines that JC offered. We arrived to a table set up for our party. Kelly brought out our charcuterie boards. Then she began serving with an explanation about the making of each wine as well as the taste characteristics that we could expect. I recommend this establishment if a wine tasting experience is on your to-do list. Kelly, thank you very much for your outstanding service. We will be back.“

“This legendary restaurant - Blue Wing Frog- moved to Strasburg last year, and what a gain for Strasburg! We were there for a special occasion and met our friend there. Every piece of food that went into my mouth was heavenly- We ordered potato pancakes and grilled shrimp for appetizers, and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich on home made bread and a side salad. For our special occasion desert we shared a gigantic piece of home made carrot cake. The potato pancakes were sublime and well seasoned, the grilled shrimp, a house specialty, was absolutely perfect and nicely seasoned and served hot. The grilled cheese was on thick slices of freshly baked slightly sweet bread and grilled to perfection with a melty middle. Even the fruit on the side was perfect- fresh and cold ripe kiwi slices, fresh orange slices and a plump red ripe strawberry. The side salad of all fresh ingredients was served very cold with the perfect spring blend of lettuce, kale, and spinach and cucumber and cherry tomatoes. But the vinaigrette dressing elevated the salad to the stratosphere. Again, it was cold, fresh, high quality oil and vinegar ( and maybe lemon???) and herbs where the fennel stood out as a lavendery luscious overtone. We finished our repast with a celebratory huge slice of home made carrot cake we shared which WAS TO DIE FOR, and I could have eaten the not overly sweet cream cheese frosting like a bowl of ice cream just by itself with carrot cake topping! I had hot herbal tea served in a generously large glass mug too. The actual carrot cake was moist, had a nice mixture of carrots and fried fruit and all of the proper spices to just satisfy a sophisticated sweet tooth! I look forward to eating my way through the Blue Wing Frog menu! What a treat! The service will improve when the town steps up to support this gem and when tourists get steered there by the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism officials, and then the profit margin from increased customer base will allow the team to hire wait staff in the front of the house. Support Blue Wing Frog Strasburg and Valley peeps!! We West Virginians will come as often as we can!Vegetarian options: If you like well-seasoned veggies served at the proper temperature you’ll love the food!“

“Great find. The food was fantastic! They had seasonal asparagus, which I had to try,good choice. Ice tea was good,not too sweet,bitter or watered down as I'm finding at a lot of placed. I ordered Birria Tacos,3 braised brisket tacos, cheese and corn tortillas, consomme, salsas. Very tasty. Also tried Pork Belly for my first time as well,good stuff.Definitely will return.“

“Love this little local coffee shop! They have yummy drinks and snacks. Their everything breakfast wrap is great - but pro tip - get extra cheese! :) So glad to have a local coffee shop we can support!Parking: Has a parking lot it shared with ABC store, but there is also Martin's grocery store nearby you could park at if need be, but I've never had an issue finding parking here.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids options: juices, apple sauce pouches, muffins, etc.Wheelchair accessibility: In front of the door to the cafe, there are multiple handicap parking and a ramp.“

“Homemade soul food prepared fresh! Great space with a bar that showed the Super Bowl. Howard (manager) runs the place with his cousin (chef) and deliver exceptional customer service!Ordered the fresh fried Catfish and it was seasoned very well and full of flavor and tender meat. This is definitely a great stop in/out of Massanutten after some skiing!P.S. The cornbread here is AMAZING!“

“Every Christmas my mom fills our stockings with Shenandoah chocolates and this year I get to share with my baby. The chocolate itself is so good but it’s the buttery filling that sets these chocolates apart from the rest. My other favorites are the chocolate covered pretzels but many of my siblings ask for the chocolate covered potato chips. Hands down the best fine chocolates and right in Winchester VA!“

“We visited here for the Burns Supper and we had a wonderful time! The customer service was wonderful and the atmosphere was welcoming. The walls have history on them and its fire pit out back was proven to be great for singing! Thanks yall!“
