The atmosphere was welcoming, the decor was tasteful, and the service was good. The music choice for the day was poor (heavy metal) but it was busy so people's voices somewhat drowned it out. Also, we sat inside and could've moved outside. I would eat there again.“

We had a designated and separate area of our party and guest, as well as three designated servers to help with any of our needs. The slider bar was a hit and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event! Go there and work for an afternoon on one of the couches and listen to the vintage vinyl records that they put on in the background. If you are into folky/country-type music and want to come across song gems you would never get exposure to on the radio or spotify, check this place out. Definitely makes you see the value in a good DJ that is looking out for you and your pleasure rather than just playing billboard hits over and over again because a music station tells them to.“

“We had such a special stay at The Wayside Inn. From the moment you arrive, you can truly feel the history! It’s charming, cozy, and full of character in a way that’s hard to find anymore.

We stayed in Room 15, the Bernstein Suite, and it was incredibly spacious. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved the thoughtful details…especially the cute vanity room with amazing natural light and the cozy seating area. The decor throughout the inn and in the room really stood out to me and was easily my favourite part of the stay. It felt like such a unique blend of historic charm and comfort.

This stay was extra special for us as it was part of our 10-year anniversary trip while driving to New York City, and it ended up being the perfect halfway stop to break up the drive. It made the whole trip feel even more memorable.

We also dined at Clem’s Kitchen during our stay, and the food was great. I really appreciated that it’s part of the inn, which made the overall experience feel seamless and convenient.

Overall, it’s the kind of place where you can slow down, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy something truly special. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in the Shenandoah Valley area!“

“Great food on the Winchester walking mall. Service is consistently exceptional. Make sure to look for the daily special before you go in. We recently had the 1/2 French Dip sandwich with salad. My wife had the seasonal salad with strawberries and I had the house salad with pickled red onion - both were fabulous on a hot late spring day. And the French Dip can't be beaten! Also, one of the few places that serves Kilkenny on tap (and knows how to pour it and a Guinness!). I also enjoy their music selection and the sound system is just right, so you can have a great conversation while enjoying the music.“

“Stopped in Sunday morning, June 21 - Fathers Day - for brunch with family. We called ahead to confirm small dogs are allowed on the patio and checked inside when we arrived. Were told open seating outside so we seated ourselves. We saw a server waiting on several tables but she never looked at or acknowledged us.

After about 15 minutes she did come over to take our drink orders. Drinks took awhile to come out and were delivered by a different server. She advised us there was a 40 minute wait on food and said we should put our orders in ASAP.

Food was great, my wife got the steak and cheese omelette while I opted for the blueberry waffle special. Drinks were water, V8 and unsweetened ice tea. Food was great, however, no one checked on us for refills.

“Arrived mid-afternoon and found it easy to set up our Fifth wheel. Once settled we strolled into the brewery where David welcomed us. The beer choices were great and we enjoyed our burgers for dinner. It was our first Harvest Host experience and it did not disappoint.“
