Wayside Inn Reviews
We have stayed there twice now, I originally went for my birthday, and honestly driving up and seeing a STUNNING and well kept historical part of not only our country, but a community is just breathtaking. The staff, especially the manager Brittany, are all so kind and accommodating. When I tell you that you KNOW right away that they genuinely love and care for that inn, I mean it. Enjoyed our stay at this historic inn. The structure shows it's age but that fits with continuous operation and constant use. Interesting artifacts to examine and rooms to explore. Super friendly staff. Check out the Cedar Creek and Belle Grove NPS sites while you're there
Stayed in our RV in the lot with Harvest Hosts. Great location.

The Wayside Inn is a charming and historic establishment that has consistently impressed its guests. The attentive staff provide excellent bartending and waiting services, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Head Chef Dawn's culinary skills are acclaimed, with the crab cakes being a particular highlight. The rooms, though lacking some modern amenities, are clean, spacious, and comfortable, many featuring genuine antiques or period furniture that add to the historic atmosphere. Guests have praised the Wayside for its exceptional value, with the establishment maintaining a high rating on travel sites despite its reasonable prices. The restaurant's in-house food and drinks are very nice, and visitors often enjoy exploring the history, including the well and various relics displayed throughout the inn. The host Brittany and her staff go out of their way to show guests the history and details of the building and grounds. The place is unreal, with architecture, furniture, and decor from another century, creating a very historic and extremely atmospheric experience. The seasonal decorations are festive and spirited, adding to the charm of this lovely old historic inn.
