“The food is absolutely wonderful! I was visiting in the area. I live 5 hours away and I can’t stop thinking about it. I had the wings, mac n cheese, candied yams, and corn bread. The portions are nice. I tried my husband’s seasoned rice and it was great too. The next time I go back, I am going to try the spinach.“

Biggest caveat, which is one of their strengths, is that the restaurant makes everything fresh… The spice levels have been variable at the five or six different ones I’ve been to! “If you haven't tried this filipino restaurant you are missing out. They might have all the fast food chicken places cooked. The spicy and original are both amazing. Spicy means spicy, too. Don't get thrown off by the spaghetti either. Filipino spaghetti is good with the balance of savory and sweet flavors. And who doesn't want a side of gravy to dip the chicken in or the biscuit, or to pour over the rice. Don't skip on the peach mango pie either. I wished there was one close to where I live.“

“Dining at shababi was an absolute delight. I came to celebrate after I finished taking my board exams and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. Every bite was so flavorful. As this is a pop up I recommend you go soon and get a feel for Palestinian food“
