“Well... you could not finish my 1/2 chicken with a side salad and yuka. This means that the portions are pretty good size. The food was delicious and the service was fast. For 1/2 chicken and Malanesa de polls we paid $32 (no drinks). They offered water cups and we took them. The white sauce is mayo like, the green is spicy (you have been warned). I would recommend to friends.“

“Hometown Hitter! This place has been around since before I was born. However since I am new to the chicken on the bone crew and have entered the group chat let me let y'all know about this Alexandria City staple! First of all 530-230 Monday-Friday DASSIT. Don't try to go on Saturday or Sunday, you've been warned. Now...you must get a chicken breast sandwich, whatever way they suggest it to you, get it! (Hot sauce white bread etc) Now my hometown hitter has some new stuff on the menu that I have not tried personally but my friends/family have let us know on social media that the new dishes are a hit. We're talking about shrimp/grits to chicken/waffles. Check em out you won't be disappointed!

PS if you are ever driving around a neighborhood and a food spot has all the delivery folks...FedEx, UPS, City workers, construction workers etc that is a spot you want to try. Most of the lil small mom/pop spots are where it's at as far as good food. Just look for the blue collar workers who pull up to grab breakfast/lunch!

Wait was less than 5 minutes and this is a grab and go spot so no table! Check out the menu online. I am proud of them for branching outside of their comfort zone!

Also, growing up I got the Hamburger steak with cheese sandwich, pork chop, bean soup, bologna/egg/cheese or the good old scrapple/egg/cheese!“

“Food was pretty good, a bit overpriced for what you get. Spicy levels just seem to be more or less of the stuff they toss it in. I tried both hot and extra hot. It was flavorful and not just hot.. But the flavor was almost sweet, salty, and spicy.. Hard to explain. Fries were great. Employees were all top notch, service was impressive. Only one bathroom though.“

“Our crew tried out the Sando, Tenders & Skinny. Great option to choose how much seasoning (if any) you want. Staff was great at answering questions since it was our first visit here. Self ordering or counter ordering available. Tasty options and clean environment. Would definitely recommend!“

“The food is absolutely wonderful! I was visiting in the area. I live 5 hours away and I can’t stop thinking about it. I had the wings, mac n cheese, candied yams, and corn bread. The portions are nice. I tried my husband’s seasoned rice and it was great too. The next time I go back, I am going to try the spinach.“

“Incredible chain fried chicken, with flavors from the Philippines! Spaghetti and drinks are great as well, however I will warn that the Filipino spaghetti is quite different from American or Italian Spaghetti! Chicken and gravy, cannot go wrong!“

Biggest caveat, which is one of their strengths, is that the restaurant makes everything fresh… The spice levels have been variable at the five or six different ones I’ve been to! I only get mild, it sometimes the mild is too spicy. Then I’ll ask for “no heat” and it will be completely unseasoned…. If I could just find some consistency in their mild, I’d be good to go. LOL So far my favorite location has been crystal city around the pentagon shops. They always add ranch, and the cook is impeccable!“

“Dining at shababi was an absolute delight. I came to celebrate after I finished taking my board exams and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. Every bite was so flavorful. As this is a pop up I recommend you go soon and get a feel for Palestinian food“

“Came in here on a rainy and cold February day. The restaurant had three other customers who were enjoying their meals in store. I chose to get the chicken soup. The lady at the counter said she would let me know when the food was ready. It cost $15 for a large portion of soup, yams/yucca, carrot and reasonably sized chicken portions. The flavor was great and I was even asked if I’d prefer rice or tortillas. I chose the rice which was also very flavorful. I also purchased a bottle of Kirkland water. Overall, I would give the food an 8 out of 10.“

“The food was absolutely spectacular the chicken was crispy, juicy and flavorful. Upon entering, the wonderful and kind host saw the Popeyes shrimp I was holding and promptly gave me some of his own at no charge. The shrimp were delicious and textured. The Mac and cheese was cheesy, tasty and full of texture. The chicken was clean and tender. The host was so incredibly kind and provided us with complimentary drinks. The service truly elevated the overall experience and was incredible.“

She came in right before closing and i think some people were disgruntled but we still got our food, thank you from the bottom of my heart for still serving us and sorry if it was inconvenient. “Went to the store this evening and I was impressed by the speed of service, courtesy of employees and the great tasting tenders. This store is one of my favorites as I can always expect to get fresh food. What's more important is that the restaurant is always clean, regardless of the number of customers they have in the store. I was also impressed with the cashier ensuring the food was fresh and they just didn't just throw anything in our box. I honestly wish more fast-food places would out as much time into making sure the customer was happy with their purchase. I will definitely be back.“
